🔌 Ethernet Cable Extender, RJ45 Coupler Connector - Female to Female Ethernet Coupler (10 Pack, Black) Review

Previous owner installed cameras and digital recorder. The recorder was in a garage and exposed to the summer heat. I just installed a shelf in a closet on the wall just outside the front door of the garage. I need them to run network cables through the wall.

My Ethernet cable lifted off the floor, which is normal when the ChromeCast was connected to the receiver. It had to be connected to a TV. The native cable wasn't enough, so I bought this (these). I didn't notice any difference in the stream. If I were using it for a computer I would do some metrics. Maybe later.

They are heavier than I expected. They really feel like they have good build quality. I was a little apprehensive about the speed at which I'll pass them, but that's not a problem at all. I get 200Mbps+ through them, that's the internet package I have.

It's been years since I bought these as I give them away when someone needs them. This is necessary when you simply don't have the right length of Ethernet cable and need to connect 2.

Why didn't I think of this years ago? Saved me time and money. I believe in hardwired devices whenever possible to avoid possible interference with WIFI. I changed the location of the TV in the bedroom. The existing cable was not enough. Instead of buying a longer cable and stringing it, I was able to use the shorter cable I already had to extend an already strung cable. Works perfectly.

I had a camera that I needed to replace. The previous installer used Cat 5E cable but used it for the analog camera system and cut the wires to length to get to the wall power box which was about 3ft from the recorder. So when I replaced the camera system with a modern IP camera system, I had a few cables that were too short to get to the new NVR.
