I don't really understand everything it does and the instructions confused me. I asked the seller a question and he referred me to the manufacturer who didn't respond at all. I thought I would buy a different charger because there were 3 options on the site and I figured they all belong to the same product. But it is troublesome to send something back. Maybe it works fine, so far the battery hasn't been killed and isn't needed.

If you don't want to save money don't buy this, it's better than sliced bread. I only bought it to avoid buying one (1) battery and it paid for itself. I've done more for my friends than for myself. You'll learn more about batteries than you ever thought once you start using them and how to care for them in the future. I would say this is a pretty good charger. But I'm not impressed with its ability to bring an old battery back to life, the problem is that's the main reason I bought it. I already have some decent chargers but I use a lot of batteries and I figured if I could keep even one of these the price of this charger would be worth it. Worked very well for 3 years then broke for no good reason. I'm not impressed. I also found the indicator lights too complicated. I had to constantly consult the manual to see exactly which lights mean what. Also, this charger was advertised as being able to restore dead batteries. Rarely do I give 5 stars. The Optimate 6 deserves it. As a self-proclaimed battery fanatic, it does everything I could do with my own desktop programmable power supply and more with even more precision.
