Just what the doctor ordered

My wife's 2005 Durango was intermittently flashing an oil warning. Lots of oil. Replaced this sender, problem solved. Direct replacement for factory part. Recommend a special socket to change this. A few hundred dollars saved by DIY.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Fixed oil pressure sensor on Hemi.

I installed this OEM oil level sensor on my 2004 Hemi 5.7 after the sensor stopped working on restart. I had to turn off the engine and then restart it for my sensor to work. This part fixed that problem, installed 2 months ago, still no leaks and gauge issues.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Low repairability

Buy a special connector

Fits my 2003 Rubicon perfectly. Replaced the defective oil pressure sensor and freed the pressure sensor from fluctuations and the error display. I bought a special socket to replace the device, it made my job a lot easier. Also add some extra sealant since many leaks come from not having enough pipe tape. Mine handled the flare easily and didn't leak with the shim mold I added.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Compatible

Easy repair, worked great!

works great, fixed the oil pressure sensor on my 2004 ram 1500 hemi. According to the manual, the gauge reads "normal" (needle vertical) when the oil pressure is above 6psi and reads red low when the pressure is less than 6psi. The "Check" indicator lit up, especially on cool days. Everything seems fine now. Easy to fix. A 1-1/16 key is used. Simply pull the red clip to release the power plug and press the black tab to unplug.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • exchange available

Used on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The original oil pressure sensor (transmission assembly) failed. My oil gauge intermittently showed no oil pressure and encoded my engine light. The engine wasn't knocking, so I suspect a faulty ECU. I'm posting this review 1 week after installation so it doesn't reflect the longevity of the product. FYI: To remove the electrical connector, you need to slide the locking tab aside. On my Jeep, the connector had a red button running side to side. Who knows if it was consistent throughoutโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Almost never
