Freshness Preserver: Ortarco Avocado Saver - Plastic Avocado Keeper Tool Review

I've had several of these because they keep 1/2 avocado 🥑 fresh for 24 hours. I would put 5 but it shrinks/warps and doesn't snap after multiple washes in the dishwasher. Hand wash only.

This works well but I liked my previous one which had room for a pit if you put 1/2 avocado face down but it had straps that broke. I think getting out of the pit made it fresher. Nothing can break, so it lasts longer.

I'm not so sure about the freshness because I usually eat the second half before the end of the day, never keep it. However I love it! It's pretty handy and I carry it in my lunch bag all the time to store the other half of my avocado.

I have used previous avocado holders in the past to store 1/2 avocado for 24 hours. All of them allowed some "blackout". But not this one; Works great for keeping avocados fresh. The item is easy to open and close. If I ever need another avocado holder I will buy another one from this item. Very satisfied.

Pros: I love that this product keeps my avocados fresh, hardly browns when stored overnight and I don't use any waste products. I no longer kept 1 so I'm not sure how long this will help. Cons: The seal teeth are made of thin, fragile plastic and break easily. Mine partially broke after about 3 uses, but still works.

There are 2 reasons why I don't like this product. #1.that doesn't prevent the fruit from turning brown like many others have said, and #2.I can't open it without prying something with the pointed end. Very disappointed with the product, almost unusable. I'm going to wrap the avocado in cling film or my favorite Press N Seal wrap.

I actually already had one of these little containers but wanted a different one because sometimes I only use a quarter of an avocado so I had to be able to do half with the stone still to store in it, but it would no longer fit. Now everything else can be kept fresh. I also bought two extras for a friend who has the same meal plan as me. I was so pleasantly surprised at how well this little gadget works! Thank you!
