This stuff is pretty amazing, I don't think I'll ever use it.

This stuff is amazing, I don't think I will ever use anything else! A little goes a long way and is very durable. It feels hard and the cups don't leave rings. It's also made for wood floors, so that should tell you something. I've used it on both dark and light woods, I like the satin finish it offers as well as the durability. Check out my before and after photos of a custom kitchen table. with channel C and American black walnut.

Easy to use but doesn't last long.

Pretty easy to apply. Make sure you actually use thin coats and press them into the wood or you may get streaks from the brush. At this point it seems to protect against water and other liquids, and it still feels more like wood than a coating. I wish they sold it in smaller jars as it takes so little. I used this for my table and may have used a 5% glass. The only other downside is how long it's been smelling, it's been a week now and it still smells. *Update* I'm still getting water stains…

Love this material, good for house cleaning

After much research I decided to use this on the restored oak dining table my husband built me for Christmas. The table is super heavy and weighs 400 pounds so it's here to stay! The application was easy. I apply three coats to the surface of the table and two to the rest. What a nice ending! Hand-carried quality of a family heirloom. I didn't want to give such a cool table a cheap polyester finish. The finish is silky smooth. I paid more but it was worth it! I used about half the glass and…

nice matte finish, easy to apply, doesn't feel like plastic/polyester

bought to finish a Brazilian cherry floor. This tray is about 125 square feet, and the .75 liter jar lasted for two layers, leaving about a quarter of the jar. I first applied it with a very thin brush and then used a white non-abrasive Scotchbright pad. Leave it on for 5 minutes and then wipe off the excess with a rag. Osmo recommends a drying time of 8-10 hours. I didn't have to sand between layers. The floor feels good, still looks and feels like wood. I got this because I'm not a fan of the

Also suitable for furniture!

Great on oak. Following the advice from the YouTube video, I applied it as thinly as possible with a 2x2 white cloth, applying pressure and working across the grain. After a few minutes I wiped off the excess with a 2x2 paper towel and rubbed the fibers. Two coats everywhere except on the tabletop which has three coats applied. The table looks great and the character of the wood is much better than the old lacquer. A few tweaks: I had a light stain that's not as much stain as the rest of the…

Easy to use and a little goes a long way.

The videos I saw about the ease of use along with durability, maintainability and water resistance were the reasons I initially chose this product. I was not disappointed after the first use. At first glance, this product seems expensive. But a little goes a long way. I bought a .75L to use on two butcher style vanity tables. They were about 3 x 5 x 2 feet. I applied two coats to the top and bottom of both countertops and only used about a quarter of a can. The client and everyone I share…

Beautiful satin finish teak

Applying OSMO oil to several teak furniture that in the distant past have had 1-3 treatments of tung oil and other finishing oils. Sanded with very fine paper (500 grit), rubbed the surface and applied OSMO as finely as possible with a disposable foam brush and immediately wiped with a clean cotton jersey cloth, rubbed until resistance disappeared. On veneered surfaces, reapply after 24 and 48 hours without additional sanding. Repeat every 24 hours on veneered vertical surfaces, but not solid…

Incredibly incredible. Exceeded all expectations!

After a very frustrating time using Minwax Tung Oil Finish on a previous project, I decided to give OSMO Hard Wax a try. I was absolutely amazed at how much better this product works. The finish had a VERY strong and lingering noxious odor and irritated my skin many days after curing. This OSMO Hardwax Oil didn't irritate me and was virtually odorless, especially after drying! In terms of application, I used non-abrasive dishwashing sponges. I wiped the liquid very thinly over the entire…
