Best Blender Under $40

This is the best blender under $40 in my research. For some reason, manufacturers have been producing blenders with cheaper parts for years. This Oster 6844 replaced my cheaper ($29) Oster which finally broke after 5 years (the plastic base next to the blade) but I had to keep the motor part as it was still better than the more expensive Oster blenders currently available. And don't waste your time with other brands, they are inferior in this price range and you will have to replace them sooner

not very durable. Hard plastic cover

Unpacked I was already dissatisfied with this purchase. The base is very wide so it takes up more space than my original Easter blender. The glass doesn't seem to fit snugly into the base. The base feels very light, not very strong. The lid is hard plastic, as opposed to the flexible rubber lid on my original Oster blender, which makes the new lid a bit awkward to put on and take off and more likely to break. The buttons on the front feel very loose, again not as nice and tight as the old…

  • Nice appearance

Oster really went downhill

The blender is terrible, terrible. The noise is awful and the vibration is so strong I feel like I have to keep my hand on the carafe as it blends. I'm afraid to drink what I've blended because the noise/grinding is so pronounced I'm not sure there will be small pieces of metal in my smoothie. A little over a month has passed since the purchase, but I didn't save the box - stupid. I would love to go back but don't know if I can and if money wise it's worth it. I had a previous Oster blender for
