Doesn't work well, thought I'd upgrade, but the $20 tool I came across 4 years ago works much better than this tool. Bought and only used 6 months later when I needed it I realized how unsuitable it was for the job but it was too late to return it.

The photos and product description on Revain show the bushings are chrome plated; packaging also describes contents as chrome sleeves; and the shells in the camp were of painted steel. Sent them back and requested a replacement set - will be interesting to see what I get. Received a replacement set. The kit only contains painted sleeves. Is it important; Remember that you are sliding a piston into a sleeve with three or more rings compressed. Dull paint is not the same as chrome. Does Revain…

Read negative press about this product after ordering. But in my opinion the product is "everything" I hoped it would be. I bought this set because it had compressor rings up to 1 3/8". I may never need them, but I will have them. The problem is that compressor rings smaller than 2 7/8 inches in diameter have different tabs to connect them to the compressor pliers. I gave this one 2 stars. I bought it because it seemed like I could use it for different hole sizes and put it in a nice handy storage box. Although I had problems with that. I bought the aluminum unpainted as the painted compressor had reviews that the paint would peel off with use.
