To save money I only bought the Grappler puller and replaced the complete set with an ATD bearing set. This thing worked flawlessly and thanks to that I was able to keep the costs from getting out of control. worth your money. Well built on all sides.

For removing/installing a 2000 Saturn bearing. Works great with the bearing kit so I did NOT have to remove the entire assembly. I did all the repairs while it was still attached to the car. A big plus was that the center threaded stud fitted my bearing kit better than the stud from the bearing kit.

The gripper is a reliable unit. I only bought the gripper, not the full set. I bought a separate bushing removal kit for about $70 so the entire solution is about $200. I bought this whole assembly when all I really needed was a jackbolt, nut and bushing. I have the whole set and the stanchion is starting to wear out after replacing about 50 wheel bearings. It's the same price of buying the entire assembly versus buying three pieces. I think I can change this frame if it just doesn't fit. I am not disappointed with the performance of the jacking screw. Allen screws are too weak for the weight of the product. Today, on the second use, the head for the hexagon socket on one of the screws broke off. Please upgrade. While the concept is easy to set up unlike 4x4 kits with horseshoe braces, the lack of a small bolt design is counterproductive. I used this on a '09 Corolla to remove the hubs when replacing a wheel bearing. Both hubs failed easily with a 700 ft-lb pneumatic percussion drive. I used a 3/4" ID bearing in place of the two washers that came with it, and plenty of anti-seize on the threads. It's a large and heavy tool, but I found it very handy once installed. I used this to remove hubs and bearings from a 3rd gen Odyssey. It's a hefty tool, but considering how much force it takes to pull the bearing out, I was a little concerned it would break. You definitely don't want to use an impact wrench because 1. the tool is easier to break and 2. you'll actually get better results with a regular wrench. It has what they call a camp. consists of two flat concave metal parts that are connected to each other to avoid friction when the screw turns.
