Did not cover the front edge of the oven shelf. My oven is built into the wall so I have to stand on my side to load and unload and this product does not protect the entire rack. About three inches plus a short one on each end.

Of course they were easy to put on. That's where it ends. Just pulling out the frame is not possible, you need oven mitts. The only other thing, it will prevent those stabbing burns from standing higher on the top of your arm; but the intended use is NOT working.

I love the idea of this protecting from burns but I really want my daughter to bake herself and when we tested her it always is still very hot if she accidentally touches railings, she'll burn herself anyway, maybe not that bad but i don't like that she's hot.

I've been using Teflon grills for years and this purchase was my first attempt at silicone. The colors are beautiful. I'm older and had trouble opening the pen wide enough to wrap it around the counter. There were no wider holes for the teeth to allow the wire to cross perpendicularly. Frying pans do not slide well on the racks when removed from the oven. I will use them but do not recommend or repurchase.

I can't count the number of times I've burned myself on the grates in my oven. I hope this helps a lot. I have a number of wall mounted dual ovens and the screens cover about 3/4 of the width, which is usually the area where my accidental touch is likely to happen. They don't get in the way when you put the dish in the oven and are easy to assemble. I think the light color also helps you see the counter better so you can avoid it. If they save me even one burn, it's worth it.

I am a baker and discovered these silicone strainers many years ago. When using the bottom shelf of the oven, I often hit the top shelf and burn my hand or wrist.
