🥣 OXO Good Grips Cereal Dispenser for Countertop Convenience Review

I was expecting this item to make my kids' food work easier. My kids are 8 and 11 and my youngest struggles with opening and closing the package. So when I saw her, I had to have her. They're too big for my pantry so they sit on my countertops which isn't a big deal but every time my kids use it the lever makes a giant mess. For the money I spent on it I expected a lot more. I would definitely not recommend this item.

Nice container that seems as tight as can be given you have an open dispensing area at the bottom. I don't use it as a cereal so can't talk about it, but I have a small dog so I stuff him with dry dog food and pour him a bowl every morning. So much better than pouring it out of the bag (and then onto the floor). This is a very well made piece and I could have ordered more to use for cereal. A balanced, clean and attractive container that exceeds all expectations.

Quality workmanship. Nice size and capacity. Other dispensers pour out crumbs and bits after you remove the bowl you were using. It doesn't and distributes fairly cleanly. But this one doses more at once than these other brands. This is fine for some things, but if you just want a small portion, others will do better. For cleanliness, usability, and cleaning, this works great. Portion size is a little harder to control. Otherwise it works great.

Of course it was a luxury, but you only live once. Now I should have shares in OXO products because I buy them all. Bought one, was more than impressed, then bought two more and they sit on the countertop and look sexy. In addition, they are definitely airtight, so the flakes stay crispy. They are comfortable to use for both left-handed and right-handed people, as well as half-asleep teenagers. Easy to clean etc etc. It freed up storage space (always a win) and they look so good. Great product but if you leave your cereal for more than a week it will go stale and Lucy Charms marshmallows will become sticky. Easy and fun, just make sure you want it because you're going to eat a bunch of cereal and it won't last a week. UPDATE: ANT PROBLEM. These are great containers - we used them for the first time at our exhibition stand last week (June 2019) and not only did they hold all the samples we needed which was over £5 muesli) but the hole was never plugged with our product when large - a big bonus!. I like my cereal dispenser. I am disabled with only one hand and I can't tell you how much time this saves and allows me to use less strength. Instead of picking up a box, opening it and trying to pour it with an already weak hand, all I have to do is pull a lever and I've got granola in my bowl. I probably wouldn't put in large flakes like frozen wheat, but I've put in Chex flakes and it seems to work fine without clogging. The only thing I wished for was black.
