I have a Steelie mount in my car, but the magnet on the back of the phone is also handy for attaching it to other surfaces. This product works well for securing your phone in places where you can't or don't want to mount a steelie ball. I like these. My iPhone case is magnetic so I stick it on the wall by my bed or anywhere I can put my phone to watch Netflix. The only one that came off was on my car dashboard on a very hot day. My car has a Scosche brand magnet mount which I love and I attach the metal plates to the two piece phone case. I needed a few extra plates as I refused to fit them to my unit - this was my first choice as all I needed were metal plates with some sort of adhesive. They stick well to the outer plastic shell of my phone cases and hold my phone in place - they are less magnetic than the original Scosche plates.
