Worked well for home alarm system expansion

I needed to add additional alarm and dialer control to a new home security system. Although these relays are rated for a much larger load, they performed as expected.

Good but latched

Easy to install but the wires coming from the relay itself were easy to pull out, had to be soldered back for some reason but it does the job perfectly for my fog lights so can't complain only about working with relay wires, although they are easy to pull out.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Relay stuck and stays on

Relay is junk. Some remained energized after the switch was turned off (the solenoid is stuck with the contacts in the closed position). High quality wire harnesses and connectors, 12 gauge wire. Can be used for a wire harness but don't trust a relay, use a Bosch relay.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Other

Cut out the 80A relay on the left, the 40A relay on the right. They added a strap to the armor but nothing else. The pads are a bit bigger, but it's hard to imagine them coping with an extra amp. I also don't like how short the wires are. But how long do they work? Just take a look.

Pros
  • Great for a small house

Make sure the wires are secure but still good value

I used these to build 2 headlight harnesses with larger gauge wires to avoid voltage drop. 2 relays have a wire that was badly crimped and pulled out. I would prefer all cables to be installed by the buyer so you can make adjustments if needed. I haven't had a chance to test the voltage drop yet, but both circuits are installed and working properly. I'm about to make 2 more fog light wire harnesses so we'll see how these wires fit. Good price, fast shipping and with Bosch relays they are easy…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No automatic

The set is good but read my review.

It's good to have a relay shank to keep the installation looking professional. In my setup I had no intention of using the wired part of the connectors. I removed them and installed my own wires using the plastic connector housing along with the bracket. Upon removing the pig tail I noticed that none of the wires were crimped tightly in the socket. If you are using this relay with the wires attached, I recommend prying the plug out of the hole with a suitable pin removal tool (don't pull on the
