got these for my new 180g reef aquarium and they started leaking immediately. Teflon tape / silicone / hand tight / wrench tight. it was still dripping from the double o-ring at first there was a leak later i noticed that the thin threads in the bulkhead even with teflon tape let water through! I haven't had to redo the plumbing in any tank I've ever had until I use it. Save money, buy something heavy where it matters.

I used this baffle to install a new inlet to the waterfall tank on our carp pond. This requires a 1-3/4" diameter hole on as flat a surface as possible. The 1" double thread (female) makes this item very versatile depending on what you are going to be doing and the gaskets are high quality and not flimsy like similar kits.Another plus is the set of 2 which gives a backup regardless of the outcome when installing or in the future.Overall very happy with the product and no reason not to recommend

I made a hole in my hot tub and installed a sand filter and they have for this part works fine. But where I left the frame to get to the filter, I actually broke one of them while tightening the nut. You have to be very careful with them. Despite using pipe tape and eventually pipe thread sealant, I still had issues with leaking threaded connections. I never found out because I ended up taking two off and throwing them away leaving only a strong PVC pipe. through a wooden fence
