Set of 5 Heavy Duty TSA Luggage Locks 🔒 with 4-Digit Combination for Travel, Baggage, Suitcases & Backpacks - Black Review

I bought them specifically for the 4 digit combination I put in to use them all in our luggage, backpacks during our trip to Europe. The combos were easy to install and they all worked very well and were easy to open and close. I'm glad I was able to get the exact number of locks needed for the price. I chose black to match our luggage.

I took one of these locks with me on my first trip. On the way back, the TSA checked the bag. Despite marketing claims that they could open it without breaking it, the TSA picked the lock and left it in their pocket with an inspection notice. If you look closely at the photo you can see where it was cut. Great for keeping my kids away from the safe out of curiosity, but TERRIBLE FOR TRAVEL.

I use two of these locks to secure conference boxes. Usually only one is returned that is still attached to the box. They'll probably work well in a suitcase because they're not heavy, but they don't fit in my conference boxes. Why do I keep buying them? Because they are inexpensive, they are very easy to program and they are not bulky. I give them three stars because they fit my needs. For something that won't fail, they're probably really good.

The spinning combo wheels are very shiny metal and hard to read - I don't usually wear glasses but I have to put on magnifying glasses and go into bright light to see what I'm doing. There are other wheel locks here that have a matte finish and are probably easier to read. In terms of quality, the lock shaft does not go into the lock body when closing, only the tin pot. Works as it should. Seems to be as strong as other similarly priced luggage locks. The U-shaped clasp wobbles a bit. Has 4 digital dials to customize. Comes with instructions. Everything is preconfigured to 0000. They have a slot at the bottom for a TSA check bypass key (violation). It looks trendy and the blue color on the case is easy to spot. Only 2 out of 3 worked. I followed the given instructions. Created a new combination for the first lock. I blocked it and moved the numbers in different directions. Then he switched it to his new combination but it doesn't open/unlock! I first moved the numbers to the left, then to the right. Tried going back to 0,0,0,0 and still no. So permanently blocked. Garbage! I threw it away. I needed exactly 3 locks so that's a disappointment. I admit it was a convenient purchase, I was too impatient…

This lock is terrible. I bought two locks for my holiday trip. The first lock I tried to pick and got a blister trying to pick it. Once I was able to open it and generate a 4 digit code, I closed my suitcase and hoped for the best. When I got to the hotel I couldn't open the lock.
