Pack Micron Sediment Filters CFS Review

They work great. I have such bad water that I put a new one in at the beginning of each month, but it always seems like I could go every other month if I wanted to.

It has a different design than the previously used "coiled thread" type. The string type took up more total surface area, but no test results have been released, but it seems to work well. the time will show

For some reason they are custom sized. They are about 3/16" longer than the stock filters so I had to saw off the excess length or they wouldn't fit in my filter housing.

In my system they work much better than a 5 micron spinning filter as a secondary filter in a three filter system. My water supply is rainwater harvesting/cistern. The best I've tasted in the last 20 years. No complaints.

I have just opened the box and found that each roll is individually wrapped. Glory! However, as I've read in previous comments, there is no label anywhere on the packages that says "5 micron" in one way or another. That being said, as always, Revain has been great at selling good products and always giving me great service! I know what "5 micron" filters should look like after 4-6 weeks on my system so time will tell.

So far so good. 2 of them already passed. Constantly captures all particles on the outside of the filter while keeping the inside of the filter fairly white. I used it for 1 1/2 to 2 months. The service life can be 1 to 3 months depending on the quality of the water source. Public water or clean well water can give you up to 3 months. Well water with a lot of solids, dirt, minerals, etc. needs to be changed more frequently. You should notice a drop in water pressure when it's time to change the
