So far so good. 2 of them already passed. Constantly captures all particles on the outside of the filter while keeping the inside of the filter fairly white. I used it for 1 1/2 to 2 months. The service life can be 1 to 3 months depending on the quality of the water source. Public water or clean well water can give you up to 3 months. Well water with a lot of solids, dirt, minerals, etc. needs to be changed more frequently. You should notice a drop in water pressure when it's time to change the filter. Things like showering and slower filling of the toilet are good clues. The water taste is very good. I've also noticed less rust accumulation around the sink and shower drains. I will buy them again when they run out. UPDATE 7/26/2017 I have just ordered and received my second batch of these filters. They work consistently well. The average usage time is about 2 months. I will continue to use and recommend them. When you change the filter you should see a dark or dirty brown color on the outside of the filter. But the inside of the filter that sends water through your home's plumbing should still be fairly white. This means that the filter is doing its job. For anyone who complains about certain water filters becoming clogged, here's what happens when your water system has a lot of sediment. I see the benefit of them reducing or even clogging the flow of water because it means my family isn't drinking or showering from what's being pumped from our well. While it's normal for water flow to slow down after a few months, a clog can indicate a problem with the water supply or well pump.
