A good option for brighter light in your ceiling fan!

Provides a little extra boost to my ceiling fan lighting. It is about the only alternative I could find for a brighter candelabra base bulb that was still within the 60w max of my fan. I would love to use an LED or CFL, but as of right now, those bulbs have about half the light output as these little Xenon bulbs. They seem to initially come on at about 80-90% of the max brightness, and reach full brightness at about a minute.I have purchased both the "frost" and "clear" bulbs…

Pros
  • Outdoor lighting. Fast delivery.
Cons
  • Poor packaging; bulb arrived broken

Perfect for low profile semi-flush ceiling lights!

Once you get used to Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs that last for years, it's difficult to go back to normal incandescent bulbs that need to get replaced several times a year. But many semi-flush ceiling fans and low profile ceiling light fixtures that require skinny candelabra (Type B) bulbs, and there just aren't many (or any?) skinny enough CFLs available that fit those ceiling lights. And I just won't put incandescent bulbs in these ceiling lights because they require changing every few…

Pros
  • great buy
Cons
  • Not energy efficient

I also received a defective bulb (1 out of 3). Not sure if this is a factory QA issue or just rough treatment during shipping. The bulbs are packed in tiny cardboard boxes and wrapped tightly in foam and then just thrown into a much bigger box with some of big plastic air pillows (not sure what they are called). So the little boxes are pretty free to bounce around inside the bigger box. Given the fragility of the bulb's filament, I wouldn't be surprised if this packaging was inadequate. The…

At last some light from my ceiling fan!

I do not know who's genius idea it was to put candelabra bulbs into a ceiling fan but they need to be drawn and quartered. I have a Hunter fan with a thick glass "shade" which blocked most of the light put out by every standard incandescent bulb I put in there. All I want in life is a light that I can see by and maybe read a book - it is not too much to ask. Then I found these Krypton bulbs - same "wattage" as the incandescent bulbs they are replacing but oh man are they bright!

  • ‎2000 Kelvin
Cons
  • Inconsistent performance

Don't Touch!: my feedback

Like most reviewers, I agree that these little bulbs produce a bright white light, ideal adjacent to a bathroom mirror. But they're expensive and quickly become fiery hot, so remember to let them cool before touching.

All 3 still working after 6 years

Doing some work on my 15 foot high ceiling, and wanted to pro-actively replace these three bulbs with 3, 1000 lumen dimmable LED bulbs, but wanted to comment on the quality of these bulbs. I installed these bulbs in my living room ceiling fan with light dimmer in September of 2012, and all three are still working. Hope the LED's work as well as these bulbs did. I did notice that the Kelvin rating on these bulbs are 2000K, but I never noticed that they were overly yellow. There were no "super…

This light lit up my life.

Never had one of these bulbs before but a new light fixture from a bathroom reno sure did. It burned out, I bought this, life went back to normal two days later (Prime). I probably would have spent two days driving around town alone to find a specialty bulb. Based on QC reviews I tested all three that I bought just fine, no problems. I only needed one, but it's a three light fixture so I reckon the others will be going soon.

Pros
  • DAMP Rated
Cons
  • Inconsistent coloring

The lightbulb is great. It has a bright and warm light and is one of the brightest bulbs you can find for an E14 socket. The problem is that it does not last - expect a lightbulb to work for three-four months at most

Pros
  • Simply - works well and does what it says!
Cons
  • Prone to flickering

Way brighter! in my review

Much brighter than a 60 watt incandescent! Very pleased.I was skeptical when I pulled them out of the package though.they are tiny.Word of caution regarding premature failure: These bulbs come wrapped with foam that you are supposed to keep in place when you install. Do not touch the bulb with your bare hands! They get very hot and the oils that your hands would deposit, would create a hot spot on the glass.leading to early failure. Just FYI.

Pros
  • ‎Frosted
Cons
  • Emits a buzzing sound when in use

Expensive Life Given Short Duration

This bulb is bright and is the type of bulb I have ordered far too frequently. I use 12 of these bulbs in a light fixture that is attached to a bathroom mirror. Due to the relatively short life span of these bulbs (2 years seems be an extended lifetime for these bulbs), I need to replace at least 5 or 6 of these bulbs annually. Given that the average cost of these bulbs is $9 or $10 each, I am quite dissatisfied that the bulbs only last one to two years. I am planning to replace the light…

Does not last, but it is very bright

These lasted less than a month at a few hours use per day. Not worth the money, to be honest. LEDs are getting cheaper, and in my experience they are outlasting these halogens. I just wish I could get the same light output. I'm now using Bonlux 6W Dimmable E12 LED Light Bulb Daylight 6000K instead, which at $5 a bulb currently is a 50% saving over this product.

Pros
  • FULLY DIMMABLE: Each bulb is fully dimmable and compatible with your home's dimmer. Simply screw into any standard fixture and adjust for the exact amount of light you need. These bulbs will not lose performance when dimmed. Perfect for your home's chandelier, candelabra, lantern or lamp.

Incredibly Bright for my opinion

Bought three of these for a new pendant light hanging over our dining room table. They're supposed to take 60-watt bulbs, but if we used normal bulbs as we have with all the ceiling fans in our house (because those came with their own standard 60-watt bulbs) the room would be not be very well lit. With these magical little bad-boys, however, when our new dining room light is on it lights up the entire house. (That's because the dining room, kitchen, and living room are all kind of one connect…

expensive and short lived

These bulbs are really hard to find and when you do find them they might set you back almost as much as you paid for the fixture. These were purchased for a bathroom fixture that takes three bulbs and in less than two years I have purchased five of them not including the one that didn't work on arrival but was replaced promptly. The light is great and the look is minimal for a fixture that you don't want the bulb to be the main feature.I have now noticed that another one is dead and my husband…

Great little bulbs in my review

Bought five of these to work in our new Kichler 2020TZ chandelier in the dining room. Plenty of light, fully dimmable, great light quality. I considered trying to use mini-CFLs but they stuck out over the top of the globes and wouldn't have been dimmable. Plus, unless you burn these 24/7, the energy use is nothing to be concerned with. Unfortunately, one of the five was DOA, but Best Buy had another to me within days. All have been fine for the past 5 months.*Edit on 9/18/12* All five bulbs are
