Guides are good for night lights

Love these outlet covers. The light it gives off is cool white, much brighter than the old warm light. I love the form of natural daylight that some of the new bulbs give off, so of course I love these covers that give off just enough light for you to see your way through a dark house. I put them up all over the house, including my son's house, so that someone who gets up at night or comes in from the street at night doesn't have to turn on the light to move around the house.

Good price, easy installation

I have five of these lights and am very happy with them. I have used them as replacement outlets in the kitchen, one in the guest bathroom and one in the hallway. The ones in the kitchen are very impressive and make the kitchen stylish. If you have an older home, you may find that the inner pins of the outlet may not make contact with the new lighted outlet cover. I ended up replacing the pads with newer ones. Home Depot has replacement plugs for about 50 cents, so the overall replacement cost…

Cool if you can get them to work.

I bought some of these in 2017 when you were just replacing an old record and bam - you had a night light. The newer design (I just bought 8 of these) is almost impossible to get working. We even had an electrician fiddle with them before lighting a few. I installed two of these on new forks this morning and none of them work. No matter how much we checked the instructions and maneuvered the details - nothing. That's such a great idea. I just wish they were easier to install with working…

Doesn't fit in our smart socket

I was delighted to replace some of the built in stairs with sockets for us to plug in. Christmas is still here. Bought Snap Power Guidelights so I don't lose the light. These weren't GFI stores so everything must be great! (sigh) Unfortunately not. The smart sockets we bought to turn on decorations with our smartphone/Alexa also don't work with these sockets. There the power supply does not match, so the socket cannot use the current to light up. If only the shutter in use could be moved up or…

It didn't work for me

I really wanted and needed this GuideLight 2 sockets for 3-4 sockets in the house. I have regular outlets that work great and are easy to install, but for some reason these outlets made specifically for GFI outlets don't work. The problem was in the installation. Getting the pins to slide in, on, or past the outer pins to apply power just didn't work. I even forced them to open GFI as they kind of overlapped. My outlets work fine, but these panels won't do what they need to. It seems to me that

Almost Perfect - Wall Lights

They look great and are easy to assemble. It took me much longer to figure out why I can't get one of them to turn off than actually installing them. After moving a few around the house, I realized they're just super delicate. The plug, or even proximity to the wall or shroud of the outlet can turn on the light. So basically I have three lights that are on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. One is in a small closet, and it's pretty dark while it's on. Another has a carbon monoxide monitor hooked…
