Works great so far on DVD players and recorders

The product works very well. He actually had a lost part in the fuselage. I opened it up and took it out, there was a foreign object, put it back together. Works great so far. I only use it to play DVDs and VHS tapes. Works fine for that.

Pros
  • 2xLP horizontal (500 lines) - JPEG preview with SD slot
Cons
  • There are defects

Avoid this car. Worst Panasonic product I have ever had.

I am writing this from the perspective of a professional television production engineer. I've always had great respect for Panasonic commercial and consumer electronics and have owned many of their fine VCRs and TVs over the years, but this unit is an exception. problems? It refuses to burn any brand of DVD-RW. It often freezes [usually at the end] when playing pre-recorded DVDs and needs to be turned off completely by holding the "Off" button for half a minute. Sometimes it refuses to finalize

Pros
  • Automatic Program Information Collection (ATSC)
Cons
  • Things to know

I have loved this model for many years.

I originally bought the same model (actually an EZ47V) from Circuit City when it came out circa 2007. I might not have liked their quirks at first, but we became firm partners as I learned to live with them, especially with being patient while booting, waiting for the disc tray to open, etc. I bought it back a few times and sold it due to moving or other circumstances. My favorite car has never been to blame. This is at least the third time I have bought it, which is the EZ475V. I still like…

Pros
  • Basic HDMI connection (HDMI version 1.3) - DivX playback
Cons
  • boring packaging

Perfect in many ways, but not in everything. My dream car so far.

How is this model different from the DMR-EZ47V? Just the addition of an HDMI cable. This is my third Panasonic DVD recorder and none have had major failures. Don't believe Revain's reports of a bad digital tuner as this is simply not true. The secret to good terrestrial digital reception is the right antenna. If you have this, you will get great channels. Correct, not in high resolution. But this is not a high definition recorder. I haven't bothered with analogue channels as I get them all…

Pros
  • Long time recording with high image quality (EP mode: 8 hours)
Cons
  • Appearance
