This Panasonic razor was designed to replace my 4 year old Braun Series 7 which has just been upgraded with a new trimming head. This razor is larger than the ES8103S. The razor's black and blue sheath makes me think if Batman were real, this would be his razor. Shaved on par with ES8103S. Panazonic appears to have fixed a display design flaw in the ES8103S that causes the display to dim after several months of use. I am a woman but I took a chance on buying a men's razor because I saw his recommendation in a review of a popular women's razor (I bought two of them over the years). I've had Norelco triple head razors and typical three or five blade hand scrapers. This is my first introduction to foil electric shavers. Before I decided on the Panasonic ARC3, I read reviews and checked the prices. The advantage of this model is that it can be shaved both dry and wet. I have been using an electric shaver for almost 40 years. I've always resisted spending money on a more expensive razor. It was a bad decision. I spent about $100 on this Panasonic and it is by far the best shaver I have ever used. He leaves everyone else far behind. Best features: knife speed, swivel head and battery life. For me there are no bad qualities. Buy this. It just works.

I had an earlier model of this shaver a few years ago and really liked it. I only stopped using it because the battery died and couldn't be recharged. I took it to Batteries+ for a replacement and was told it couldn't be replaced due to the way it was made. This new version is just as good a shaver as the previous one and the battery lasts longer on a single charge. I hope the overall battery life is better now too. I'm 77 and only shave twice a week so this will probably last longer than me.
