A bachelor's dream kitchen and dining room

It's weird to worry about a toaster, but this thing is REAL. I became a complete nerd and read a bunch of reviews on WireCutter before deciding on this one and couldn't be happier. As a bachelor, it's very hard to fire up the stove every time you want to put a hot pocket in it. I didn't have a toaster either so this solved both problems. It has an interesting design. People will comment. I can't tell if it looks futuristic or like a fossil from the early 70's. But I like it. And he cooks like a

Best option in this price range

I use toaster ovens more than my regular oven, so I've really struggled with my move over which one to go with. I didn't want to spend $300 on an expensive one as my situation has changed and I travel a lot now. I went with this one, which wasn't my first choice, but after reading a lot of reviews and comparing features, it seemed like the one for me. I haven't had it that long so can't comment on durability but my experience so far has been really good. Here's the breakdown: - It takes 60…

A great device if you want to fry something.

This is the best toaster I have ever owned. Period. And for 30 years I've owned pretty much every imaginable toaster and combination toaster (mostly with a convection function). As I got older I really gravitated towards expensive ones that aren't "just" a toaster. The last one I bought was the highly acclaimed Cusinart stainless steel convector which cost over $300. I then gave it away a year later, although it was hardly used. It was too big, too complicated to even toast, took up too much…

Good Oven/Mediocre Toaster/Terrible in Browning

I've really looked around to find a replacement for my old and dying Cuisinart toaster. I wanted something really small to toast 4 slices of bread. I wanted something that is easy to clean. The high tech of this toaster has turned my head. infrared heating. Automatic settings. Excellent reviews. I liked the relatively small area. The easily accessible crumb tray from below was also an important decision criterion for me. What I took for granted and found to my dismay is that this toaster does…

Just a big mistake

GOOD: (1) Small. Doesn't take up much counter space, but the interior space is relatively small. While it can toast 4 slices of square white bread, it only holds 2 slices of rye bread. The only thing I care about is when I toast hot dog buns. The old company Black and Decker just toasted 3 open hot dog buns. This Panasonic only fits 2. It's also relatively flat. (2) Does not require preheating. There is no preheat at all. Good. The old Black and Decker it replaced required a 15 minute preheat…

Detailed information on some quirks of this oven

Great (but weird) toaster. You can slide them in, but they press a little on the sides of the toaster2) Extraneous room lighting during cooking. The lights will flash and turn off while the food is cooking. Something odd and noticeable when reheating pizza rolls while watching a movie. 3) The plates get VERY hot! Other toasters that you put the cockatiel in and heat aren't as aggressive when it comes to heating the plate itself. Basically it is not possible to serve/eat from a plate that has…
