What he does makes me happy.

Bought this to look at antique store VHS tapes and so far (three to four months) it runs and winds perfectly. So I'm happy. I just hope it lasts a long time because some of these movies aren't available on DVD or are too expensive for B-Movies over 50, but they cost a dollar or three in the used video section of stores.

Pros
  • Beautiful construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Picture and description are different

I bought Fred VCR ok after reading the description and seeing the picture. It shows the remote and it said it was on and you can see your photo attached. The remote control was not included when I received the item. I contacted Amazon, they told me to come back and order again. I figured there were too many problems, so I bought a $12 remote from Target. I like the VCR but wish I had the remote control as advertised. I would probably buy something else from you. P Knox

Works as expected, however.

I use it to copy old videos to my PC. Works perfectly. The only problem I had was that the seller didn't show the connectors. Has only one F-type TV connection, one RCA video output and one RCA audio output (i.e. not stereo). No S-Video or digital video. Don't expect better quality but for what I do it works. Another photo of the back of the device would be helpful though. If I had known it was Type F, I would have known an adapter was needed ($30 from Revain).

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I have doubts
