PanaVise Panapress is impressive!

I bought this for my husband as he makes a lot of small gadgets and wanted this tool to speed up his process. He is very happy with this product and finds it easy to use, extremely accurate and more durable than it looks! I don't think there's a product like it and he'll probably have it on his desktop soon as it's now the main tool in his workshop tools.

Elegant, precise tool

I use it to make fine jewelry. When buying a press, I constantly found crude, shoddy tools made abroad and coated in paint to hide design flaws. This one is made in the USA and gets the job done with precision. If you're using the arbor press as a professional tool (as opposed to a garage hobbyist), it's well worth spending the extra money on this little beauty. I want them to do 1/2 ton too. 1/4 ton is fine for most jobs, but there are times when it takes a little more force to move thickโ€ฆ

Watch what it's made of.

Seems well done. I have purchased over a dozen small arbor presses, 1/2 ton and 1 ton, to make assembly jigs and gate cutters for plastic injection molding plants. I haven't had a chance to use it, but I was so happy to find a press with a detachable base that I didn't read the entire product description. Structure and base in die-cast zinc. A material not known for its durability. It was my failure. I can still use it for very light pin pressing, but probably not as a production jig.

This little tool has pushed all my other abs to the edge.

I was looking for a press that was more accurate than the huge, heavy presses I already have. This press was used in daily production to press PEM nuts and pins into aluminum. I was really surprised at how small it is, but it doesn't seem to have an issue with its power rating throughout our day. The shaft is adjustable on nylon rods, making it smooth and with very little play, critical for a perfectly even fit of precision locating pins. I was able to get a US made product that is smaller andโ€ฆ

Pretty good but not great

Even after adjusting the adjustment screws the machine moved slightly, I had to add o. 05" washer under the front mounting bolts for the top of the shaft to allow the piston to hit the base at the correct 90 degree angle. In any case, it must be mounted on a solid base (e.g. a table or a steel plate) in order to be able to press the handle. For what it is (small press) it's fine. I don't need a 10 ton press to insert rollers into my 3D printed parts. If I didn't have spare spacers, I'd probably
