PANAVISE 304 Flat Head Review

Recently I tried to change the jaws on a vise but found that one of the bolts was broken! Unfortunately the return window has closed and now I'm stuck with it!

I find this vise head to be the most useful and most used PanaVise accessory I own. Thanks to the interchangeable jaws, it is really flexible and durable. I load mine regularly and find that the tensioning mechanism and foot clamp show no signs of wear or stress. I highly recommend this item!

Whoever assembled this at the factory either did not tap the holes with the appropriate size tap or unthreaded them with a pneumatic tool. The bolts holding the jaws to the vise fell out of their heads as soon as I unwrapped them. At the same time I bought a Stock Panavise 303 head and it had the screw heads completely removed. Again, some sort of power tool was used to add the screws and they had to be hand tightened with a Phillips head screwdriver. Returned both to Revain and ordered new…
