Great addition, but the screws are too short.

Excellent addition to PanaVise. However, the screws holding the jaws are too short to hold them securely. I went to the local hardware store and bought slightly longer screws and now I'm done.

Pros
  • Scratch resistant alternative for heavy duty or high temperature applications.
Cons
  • socket required.

Unstable quality

Unstable quality. The recess for the screws is sometimes too short to fit properly in a vise. Returned the first, the second works. Now I enjoy using it, but sometimes I have to tighten the screws as they unscrew. I'll see how long the thread lasts in the vise as I suspect this will be a weak point.

Pros
  • Recommended for high temperatures in industrial environments
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Great PanaVise accessory

These brass jaws are great for holding small steel workpieces securely without scratching them. Incidentally, several reviewers stated that the included mounting screws are too short. I didn't think so, but I know why they thought it was. The holes in the jaws for the screws are not on the center line. Therefore, there is a right way and a wrong way to place the jaws on the faces of the jaws. The correct way is with the short side down. If you place them long side down, the jaws will not fit…

Pros
  • For use with 303 and 304 vise heads
Cons
  • weak
