Great product Last week I installed new front shock absorbers, the old ones were completely broken. I recommend this very happy.

Fits my Clubauto 98 DS. He was first on a 1" block lift then bought a 6" hand lift and both worked great with a lot of travel. Helped me get out too.

Both dampers had problems, one damper had a scraped piston, you could feel it scratching inside, the other damper sagged +/- 5mm before below you might feel any resistance so I would suggest that having an oil or valve problem is generally not a good buy.

The hits were great. Installation wasn't easy as all the paint was on the threads. Unscrewing the nuts was very difficult, I had to first use a wire brush to remove all the paint from the threads. I would give five if it wasn't for that. I am now very happy with the shock absorbers.

Summary: Shock absorbers are perfect with modified HD leaf springs. I have a 2006 Club Car Precedent electric car. About a year ago I installed heavy leaf springs on the car but noticed that the ride quality had deteriorated. I've used a variety of methods to speed up the break-in time, including heating the springs, loading a 300-pound wagon and driving it for weeks, etc., but the HD leaf springs were too stiff and bouncy.
