A friend of mine had this item in his washroom and I loved it - I bought two (2)! It is sturdy and aesthetically designed to be shown off. However, you need to make sure you choose a paper towel (or toilet paper) that clings to itself. If not, the sheets drape off the holder and cover up the design. I'm actually using these paper towel/toilet paper holders as Afrocentric Artwork in which they serve its purpose just as well, if not better.I do recommend their purchase!

Unfortunately It doesn't seem to work well as a paper towel holder for my dining table. It tends to tilt a bit and then the paper towel roll tilts and unrolls. It's also difficult to tear off a towel without disturbing the giraffe.Which is really ok. It works much better as a conversation piece on my bookcase! When you equip the giraffe with a roll of paper towels, it obscures the wonderful look of this piece. My wife and I appreciate it more as a sculpture.

I wanted one of these for a long time for a toilet paper holder and finally bought it when we remodeled. It is cute and holds 3 or so rolls. However, a minor thing: if you have comfort height toilets (also part of our remodeling) you have to lean over a little to get to the toilet paper. Not a big deal but it did cost it a star in my rating.

This can hold three rolls of tp and still see the head, or four rolls and the top won't fall, but then you can't see the giraffe head. When it arrived it had felt on the bottom, but it was rolled up on one side. Not super heavy, but has enough weight to properly hold paper products.

However once you put toilet paper or paper towels on it, not so much. Just the little head shows and then you just see the paper goods. I kept it but don't really consider it decorative.

I disliked the fact that it said free shipping and was then charged over ten dollars for the shipping. The product itself is very much what I expected and very nice.

I love my giraffe toilet tissue holder! It looks like a low-key art object that you might put on a shelf but it perfectly holds multiple rolls of toilet paper in a bathroom without a wall installed holder. Lately toilet paper manufacturers have been making the roll narrower to make the same amount of paper look thicker on the roll (in order to fool consumers into thinking they are getting more for their money, when actually they are getting the same or less), which results in the toilet paper…

Holds two toilet rolls of any size. Cast iron so heavy and sturdy. It looks cute. My friends saw it and now they want one. Could potentially scratch or damage surfaces if not handled carefully.

The only thing about this, is that sometimes, if the paper towel is loosy and don't stick to each other in the roll,it rolls down covering the body of the giraffe, and it looks a little messy paper roll.I guess itsthe paper towel's fault :(.Besides this, love it to the wild!

This giraffe is adorable and works great in our kitchen. The paper towels we usually use did unravel and cover the base, like so many other reviews have shown. Then we tried Viva Strong and Soft paper towels, which cling to the roll just enough to stay put, but still pull off with ease. The giraffe is sturdy enough to withstand the unraveling with one hand, but I still need to stabilize it to pull them off the roll. No hard jerking like with a traditional wider base stand. It is very cute and holds 3 rolls of toilet paper, but it is much smaller then I expected. When the toilet paper is on it you can not really tell what it is. I will probably end up using it as decoration and buy something else for toilet paper.

Was hoping more of its head would stick above the roll of paper towels. Definitely sturdy. I want to grab it by the head to move from one area to another, but not enough of its head is sticking out. Need to pick it up by the legs to move it, which is a little less convenient if the counter is cluttered. Still adds a lot more whimsy to my kitchen than a standard paper towel holder!

I bought this for a bridal shower. It was a hit. BUT. due to a slight design flaw, if used for paper towels.be aware that the paper towel will cascade down to table top as there is nothing to keep sheets on roll in place. I solved this problem by including a package of colourful bag clips. One bag clip at the top of the roll will keep sheets in place. This problem does not exist if used for toilet paper rolls. Regardless of use! it was a popular gift!

The design of this with the giraffe's head sticking up over and the body coming from under the paper towel roll is really cute. However, it has a huge flaw in that, unless the roll is new, the towels will unfold down to the countertop. It has a nice, heavy weight and I do think it's charming so I am keeping it, but I am going to try to rig something that will hold the towels in place. This makes the most fabulous door stop which I bought so I wouldn't have to bend over with my bad back to move it. I just set it carefully so as not to scratch the paint on the door since it is metal against paint. But I suppose could put a tiny felt bumper exactly where it touches if I wanted. There is actually a considerable amount of wind sometimes, but the weight of the giraffe still holds the door. I absolutely love this item! It adds just the right amount of character to my kitchen without being kitschy. It's well made, sturdy and good quality material. The only thing that I don't love about it is that the paper towel, since it's up in the air more and doesn't have anything holding it on the outside, unravels if not set against a wall or cabinet. But if you can get over that slight inconvenience, it's absolutely perfect!

Somehow I doubt the original creation of this item, was to be used as a paper towel holder, due to the lack of a base to hold the towels from falling down, but it is absolutely adorable!The tall giraffe has a hefty weight to it and having a turquoise colored giraffe, adds a little color and whimsy to the kitchen. I really love this paper towel holder. I was a little nervous in purchasing due to some of the customer reviews, but I am very satisfied with the product. It fits well into my granddaughter's bathroom theme. Arrived on time and in good shape.
