T-Tracks are a life saver when installed in flat forest. They are very thin at the base and can be installed flush with a Forstner bit.

I was going to use the standard acorn nuts to attach the handles to a wooden box I was building when I came across these. So much better, so less damage to the tree. I use them made of 3/8 plywood and they fit perfectly. The claimed 1/4 inch depth appears to be accurate.

. They hold it up well and I was able to get the screws a lot tighter than any plain old wood screw. They work much better than T-nuts because the handles are on the shaft, not the flange, and you can drill out the flange a little or they will get in the way of mounting the speaker. If you do this with T-nuts, you'll lose traction. Trust me, when this speaker fell out due to a t-nut failure, I wasn't happy about camping.
