The lid is a little flimsy, but the thermometer works great.

I bought mine on June 22nd 2021 and at the time of writing it is now August 30th 2021. Comark have terrible and confusing calibration controls and this model is no exception. As the name suggests, the cap broke. The cap itself consists of two molded plastic pieces connected at the top with pins that snap into the main body. These pins are exactly split in half on both sides, which makes them break very quickly. Apart from the broken cap, I had no other problems. I would recommend buying the…

Precise and absolutely waterproof. 32 degrees in the ice water.

Accurate and fully waterproof. 32 degrees in ice water and 212 in boiling water. I cover the whole thermometer in dish soap and wash it in hot water after use and no moisture gets in. I'll say it's not the fastest, but it does the job. I would prefer high accuracy and stable performance to a few seconds gain and a precise device. Lavatools is a few seconds faster but not as accurate. It should also be noted that the device has a calibration function and a self-calibration cycle that may be…

Great little temperature sensor

I use this sensor to monitor the temperature of streams, mostly out of curiosity but also because I dive in those streams. Although I knew that the water temperature in our mountains gets very cold in the winter (it's mostly covered in ice), imagine my surprise when I found a stretch of open water with a temperature of 32.1 degrees Fahrenheit. I knew the water was cold at this time of year but still! Apparently it just keeps the movement of water open in those areas. Some people have reported a

Not immediately, but quickly and overall a good product.

Not as fast as I had hoped. About six seconds brings it closer, but it can still change a full degree. However, I love this thing! The lid snaps firmly into place like a handle extension and has so far proven waterproof enough to be washed! The hole it makes is quite small which as a side benefit means I don't spill food around the grill trying to get in. The main thing is that I trust! I had to throw away my old cheap thermometer because I just didn't trust it. I would buy it again (or at…

I also like that the probe's "shell " fits the .

Hard to beat. Comark is the culinary subsidiary of the legendary Fluke brand, whose quality is directly related to its production. It is very accurate and very waterproof. I even accidentally put water in the battery compartment; I haven't fully backed it up. I thought it was toast, like most water-soaked electronics; I ordered a replacement unit and within two days of receiving the new unit my first one was dry and working perfectly. I also like that the "sleeve" for the probe snaps onto the…

Excellent thermometer

This thermometer here. I had previously bought one at a restaurant and when I brought it to the counter the staff told me it was their favorite thermometer. It's fast, accurate, and most importantly, waterproof! They told me that you can just put it in the dishwasher when you're done using it if you want. Unfortunately, I accidentally broke this original thermometer that I bought from a restaurant supply store. I forgot to put a blue hard case on it and one day the metal probe broke when I was…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Having had several kitchen thermometers in the past I wanted a more durable one, I needed one that was accurate with a long enough probe, an easy to read display and a relatively quick response time. My last digital thermometer was so weak the probe bent and broke and the previous one was ruined by a battery leak just a few months after purchase and the previous one could be off 15 degrees and it took too long to get the final result . Hints. Although the tip of the probe is thin and the device
