Continuous. Colors are vibrant when applied in multiple layers.

The best gold lens color I've ever found. After baking, it is very durable. It's not as opaque as I'd like, but as you add more layers it gets lighter. I haven't found better gold for the job.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Empty

Fine glass and porcelain paint I used to make.

Wonderful glass and porcelain paint that I have used in my original glass work for many years. The only problem that can arise with gold is that the consistency can be a bit thicker than other colors. Just add a little Pebeo thinner intended for these colors, mix well and it spreads much better.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great long lasting color

I'm a big fan of Pebeo china colors and this one is no exception. Like the others I've bought, this one needs to be thinned a bit to get a smooth swab, but that's no big deal. It retains its color well after oven curing and is extremely durable thereafter. I recommend it to anyone who wants to paint porcelain or ceramics.

Pros
  • Great price

Does what I expected

Works great on the pans I've used it on. I made confetti-like dots on the plates with an eraser, then baked them according to the directions on the bottle, which you can read with a magnifying glass (unless you're short-sighted). I wish I had a paint pen for more control than my brush can achieve. But it still works as I expected.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Pebeo china paints, work great

I used to use Pebeo china pens so I decided to try paint in bottles. Very happy with the color. Do not apply paint too thickly, otherwise it will drip onto vertical surfaces. I used paint to decorate plates, glasses, jugs and mugs. I baked the plates in the oven at the temperature described. I have washed the plates in the dishwasher several times and the color stays great! I would recommend this paint. Be patient if you need more than one layer to get the consistency you want. One coat was…

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good alternative to ceramic chandeliers

I bought three Pebeo Porcelaine 150 China Paints metallic colors in gold, silver and copper to test as a time-saving and cheaper replacement for firing ceramic chandeliers. My first attempt was a bit clumsy, but I managed it. I will only use them for decorative items not functional ceramic items as I am pretty sure they are not food safe and the color will not last long with repeated washings in the dishwasher. These colors are kiln cured and painted over glazed stoneware. They're a little…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
