Tried to buy this product through Bimmer Technology, satisfied in the end. The instructions were unclear and caused confusion at first, but later clarified it for reinstalling and everything worked fine for me. The installation video should be clearer which cable goes where. The harness connector is a bit stiff2. The screen size setting guide is confusing.3. Video cables are a little hard to squeeze. All in all I recommend this product, initially it didn't turn on my radio and air con but when…

The harness connector is a bit stiff2. The screen size setting guide is confusing.3. Video cables are a little hard to squeeze. All in all I recommend this product, initially it didn't turn on my radio and air con but when I plugged it back in it worked fine.

Product works as described

Failed to load media. I came across this product while looking for Android Auto and screen mirroring options for my 2016 BMW X5M. It was hard to find genuine reviews for this product. That's half the price of a competitor's MMI box, so I gave it a try. I installed the device myself by following the instructions and watching the installation video on YouTube. I successfully installed the hardware and after getting the required pnone app from support, I can mirror the device without any problems.

If you have a Harman/Kardon - follow this guide

The instructions that come with the unit are good for a standard stereo. The Harman Kardon occupies twice the size of a Din - roughly the full size of the hole behind the HVAC controls. To install the device, you need to search YouTube for instructions on how to remove the glove box. Don't forget the tricky T20 on the side of the dashboard. There is a cavity between the stereo and the glove box for this Apple Car Play device to sit in. I used a zip tie underneath the stereo and pulled it down…
