    Avoid. Easy to rust inside

    Do not buy. Inside they wear out quickly. I noticed it right away when my white salt turned orange. Likewise. Be careful when washing. I tried to clean the rusty part and the sharp edge of the spout cut my finger.

    Not rusty for Salt & Pepper

    Not rusty at all, I can see rust inside just a few days after receiving it. The window is made of plastic that comes in contact with metal, not glass. I'm trying to avoid rust and plastic in my diet to allow more room for Monsanto's carcinogens, so this product isn't for me.

    I love it. - Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

    I had this set for 20 years before it became too tight when squeezed and the spring deformed. Hopefully this replacement kit will last another 20 years! Note. Do not use regular sea salt as it is too wet and will attack the mechanism. (I discovered this the hard way with my first set. The seller explained it and replaced it for free.) Use very coarse salt. Almost the size of a peppercorn.

    I LOVE IT! at Salt & Pepper

    I have just received my set and it is everything I hoped for! In fact, they are solid stainless steel! I was nervous because of the price that they might have stainless leather over plastic but they don't! They look and feel like windmills, which I'm willing to pay way more for. Very nice quality! I'm excited! The cut is perfect! If you are looking for a good salt and pepper grinder and don't know which one to choose, don't hesitate!

    They're good, but not great. However, I am happy.

    Overall I am happy with the purchase. Not exactly 5 stars for me, but I still like them. I had some trouble with it not being pushed in and then I realized I had to screw in the top part (piston). I need this to save space. But I like a lot of pepper, so a big traditional grinder would be better for me. But if you don't use a lot of salt or pepper, they're perfect for you.

    It's great when other reviewers disappoint

    I've had my first set in years, I think we must have dropped the salt a couple of times when the plastic window came loose where it had threads to screw in a base made of stainless steel was reduced. In any case, this set is slightly larger than the first, and they appear to be of even better quality than the first. When you find something that is durable and reliable, you tend to stick with it and not reinvent the wheel. Highly recommended.

    I had to throw it away because the inside is CORROSED!

    Received this in March and found the salt came out with some black dots. Opened it up and found it was rusty! Now I know that salt corrodes things, but if you make a salt shaker and "claim" that it's stainless steel, it has to be something that doesn't corrode. OF COURSE it took long enough to pass the return date (or maybe not and I should have checked sooner but honestly I never expected such bad design stuff!)

    I bought a set and we liked it so much that we bought three more sets. The new sets are not the same as the set I bought 6 months ago. The first set consisted of three parts where the acrylic-to-metal connections were metal. That way you can only unscrew the metal-to-metal contact when threading. The redesign appears to be in two parts, just acrylic on metal. It seems to be working the same way now, but I'm not sure it will work long-term. Removing and replacing the filler neck now also makes a
