Good enough product.

Used for a 10 foot fountain. Calm. temporary use. Opened up to attach the power line and found the capacitor in the case was loose. It is not difficult to file the braces and place them correctly. Works fine today.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some problems

Less volume than I expected

Got these to replace my old booster pump. It's missing some of the volume I needed, but I'll keep it as a backup and use it until my old pump is restored. For the price it does the job better than two $300 pumps of which I only use one. Runs smoothly and sounds very balanced. I thought it was about 10 gallons per minute.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Almost ok

There seems to be a lot of careless hands here.

I bought two of these, one to replace drip irrigation for cannabis plants. Both came with broken plastic lids. Requires lots of glue and epoxy. They also arrived 60 days after I ordered them. Apparently the boat from China was late. The documentation was pathetic and there was no mention of gpm or lpm anywhere. I'm just starting one up and will see if it holds up.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Functionality

Sturdy, fairly quiet, works well

Good value for money, durable. While it doesn't come with a power cord so you can just plug it in, there are minor complaints. The instructions say it should have a duty cycle of 50 minutes on and 20 minutes off, but this can be at an operating temperature of 40°C (104°F). I have a 1/2 HP pump in a lower temperature environment and possibly less load (pumps to low head): it runs for hours without heat build-up. It's been a dry summer and this little guy saved my garden.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Good for specific purposes

I bought this pump to replace the 1/2 HP pump I use to power the solar heater for my outdoor hot tub. I run water through a black pipe on my barn's hot solar roof, which keeps the pool warm (around 90 degrees in the summer) and cleans with circulating chlorine. I bought this to replace a submersible pump, hoping the wire wouldn't go straight into the pool even though I have it on two GFCI circuits. There were two problems with the installation: 1. it was not powerful enough2. There should…

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable
