Smooth Great Protein Powder

OKAY SELECT! I was having a hard time finding a vegan protein that isn’t gritty and tastes good. I, unfortunately, cannot digest whey protein without feeling sick. I didn’t want to waste money buying a whole container to find out it did not meet my standards. I have terrible gag reflexes so if something isn’t palatable, I will gag. This definitely met my standards though. The protein powder is smooth when it is mixed with water and doesn’t taste bad. I actually like stevia so the taste does not

Pros
  • Lab-tested for purity and quality assurance
Cons
  • May cause allergic reactions in individuals with nut allergies

Good protein for people avoiding lots of allergens!

I have a ton of food allergies I've been navigating lately and I recently came upon this protein, and it's pretty good. For the most part vegan protein powders tend not to be very tasty - so admittedly my bar is low - but this protein is better than average (but not quite a 5-star). Also - they sent a bunch of free samples with my order which was really cool!

Pros
  • Completely vegan-friendly, with no animal products included in the formulation
Cons
  • May not be as easily digested as animal-based protein powders

Great taste and lots of protein

Had to be on a liquid diet for one week. My friend brought this over and I just couldn't fathom mixing it with water. It's delicious! Better cold, so add ice. Ever since (more than 2 years) I have it for breakfast almost every day! Great source of protein. The chocolate flavor pretty good too!

Pros
  • A great-tasting and satisfying way to support a healthy and active lifestyle
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with IBS or other digestive disorders

Won’t buy again - my new review

I have tried a million brands of vegan proteinPowders. This one is only okay. I looked up best vegan protein powders and this was in the top 5 on several sites. It had a decent price so I thought I’d try it. I got cinnamon. Meh. Not that great. It’s gritty on the roof of your mouth.

Pros
  • Provides essential amino acids, especially lysine, which is often lacking in plant-based protein sources
Cons
  • May not provide the same nutritional benefits as whole plant-based foods

This. This on my review.

Do not sleep on this vegan protein option!I never write reviews but after trying this today I had to. I got the cinnamon flavor after seeing it be raved about on youtube, and it mixes well with just milk and with frozen goods, The consistency was smooth both ways, and it’s by far the best tasting plant protein I’ve yet tried (2 years of being vegan) This is going to my new go to daily!

Pros
  • Plant
Cons
  • May be too sweet for some individuals

and still tastes pretty good. If you're actually vegan

You have to anticipate most vegan protein powders being chalky, but this one is a lot less so than others I've tried. I will say that a blender bottle isn't going to do the trick, and that it must be properly blended. Replace the water with cashew milk, and throw in half a banana and it smooths out, and still tastes pretty good. If you're actually vegan, it's a pretty solid protein powder, but if you're transitioning from whey, it's not going to taste good.

Pros
  • Suitable for anyone looking to increase their protein intake without consuming animal products
Cons
  • May contain added vitamins and minerals that may not be necessary for some individuals

Great vegan protein option!

I've been using this in my oatmeals for the last few months now. Word of warning for those trying out pea protein - it may or may not be for you depending on what you are using it for. I do use cocoa and maple syrup to mask some of the pea taste from the protein. Overall though, it works great for what I am using it for and will continue to purchase and use.

Pros
  • No added sugars or artificial sweeteners, making it a healthier choice
Cons
  • May not be as well-researched as other protein powders on the market

Love the flavor & formula

So happy to find a vegan protein powder that isn’t vanilla or chocolate that actually tastes good. It is a bit gritty, but doesn’t bother me at all. I blend the cinnamon flavor with coffee and peanut butter and it’s delicious. Ordering another tub

Pros
  • Pea
Cons
  • May not be vegan-certified by all organizations

Awesome taste best in my review

I got the cinnamon delight and it is amazing ! I’ve tried another vegan protein and it was very gritty and I did not feel that way with this protein at all! Consitensy with almond milk and ice is smooth and great. The taste was sweet and super delicious ! Looking forward to my next shake tomorrow, and the next day! Also would like to try out the chocolate and the peanut butter flavors in the near future. Def will recommend this to others! Great quality and great price

Pros
  • PREMIUM PEA AND BROWN RICE PROTEIN BLEND - Select Vegan offers a full amino acid spectrum and 20g of complete protein per serving!
Cons
  • May contain GMOs

Great taste except for that typical chalky protein aftertaste

Mix it with water and you have a simple quick protein and water fix. It didn't leave me very full by any means though. I recommend if you need a way to get more protein.

Pros
  • I like the flavor and ability of it to mix!
Cons
  • May contain trace amounts of heavy metals

Good taste & smell and Nutritious

Tastes good enough to just have with water! I often eat it with a bowl of berries with water mixed in. I appreciate the zero fat! This is an excellent protein for macro counters who need high protein, low carb and low/no fat.

Pros
  • Highly digestible, with no bloating or discomfort
Cons
  • May contain caffeine, which some individuals may not want in their protein powder

Delicious! for my opinion

I wanted to try a plant based protein and this one is great! Tastes really good and is filling! So thankful I came across it!

Pros
  • No gritty or chalky taste or texture, making it a smooth and delicious protein source
Cons
  • May not be as easy to digest as animal-based protein powders

This stuff is unbelievable

I am over the moon PEScience has started to mfr this vegan based protein… and that it actually tastes wonderful with no sketchy artificial sweeteners! I really they make more flavors with this Vegan line such as strawberry and such!

Pros
  • It was delivered on time and it was a gift and they loved it
Cons
  • Not suitable for individuals with allergies to peas or rice

Alternative facts good for me

Tbh I love PeScience products. I haven't used anything since I found them. But I had higher hopes for this product. It is a great protein powder if all you are looking at is the nutritional value. Gives great energy and I just love it. The taste however is one of the worst. I think that the gritty texture seems to be a staple of vegan protein because I've experienced that before in other brands. (I mix with Califia coffee and Walden chocolate syrup to mask it a little.) Overall I wish that they

Pros
  • Contains no cholesterol, making it heart-healthy and ideal for managing cholesterol levels
Cons
  • May not be as effective for weight loss as other protein powders

Love this brand! best in my review

I love this brand! Love the vegan powders but they sent me the wrong flavor :( I ordered the peanut butter chocolate and received the vanilla. I cannot have the vanilla so waiting on them to figure out what is the next move. Otherwise it's an amazing protein powder!

Pros
  • 5 x 4.5 x 5 inches; 0.71 Ounces
Cons
  • May contain fillers and additives

Bad batch of protein powder

I have been getting this protein consistently for over a year and there is something wrong with the batch that was sent to me. I don’t know if I was sent with the wrong ingredients but it is extremely poor quality and considering I spent $70 it is not worth it. I will be returning this product and asking for a refund or a new container.

Pros
  • Can be mixed with fruits, nuts, and other ingredients to create delicious and healthy smoothies
Cons
  • May not be a complete protein source on its own

My FAV protein never

I’ve got so many of these proteins, all the flavors are great. Blend super super easily in water and taste fabulous. Definitely would recommend buying it and trying it out if you’re sensitive to whey!

Pros
  • Non-GMO and gluten-free formula
Cons
  • Contains natural and artificial flavors, which some individuals may want to avoid

This is my Fav - NO DAIRY or GRAINS

I have purchased this several times now and it is the least offensive tasting Protein powder I have found, without Whey or Grain in it. I use it for all kinds of things, but it accompanies my Balance of Nature powders and coconut milk stupendously. NO weird after taste or texture. Absolutely recommend!

Pros
  • Provides a smooth and creamy texture that blends easily
Cons
  • May cause digestive issues in individuals with FODMAP sensitivities

Arrived damaged… good for me

I like the product so I decided to go ahead and get the big size. It arrived damaged, it was smashed in. The other thing that I did not like was that it came in a plastic tub, when in the picture on Revain it shows different packaging, which was part of the reason why I got it. I was excited for it but it was not what I expected. I am disappointed.

Pros
  • Free from any artificial colors or flavors
Cons
  • Contains added sugars, which may not be desirable for some individuals

Great.for a plant protein powder

At this point I've accepted that I just like whey protein powder better than plant based ones. With that in mind, this is the best vegan protein powder I've tried. Though Vega beats this on taste, PEScience is superior when it comes to consistency. You can actually throw this in a shaker bottle with almond milk and drink it (when I did that with Vega the mixture immediately thickened and wasn't drinkable). Still has a bit of that grittiness that I've found to be present across all vegan protein

Pros
  • A nutritional powerhouse that contains all the essential amino acids
Cons
  • May not be as versatile as other protein sources, such as tofu or tempeh
