This will keep your feral cat family warm and safe by following these steps.

I also have a large and exactly the same barn house. What I did with both of them was line the inside and bottom with insulation sheets that you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes. I also put straw on the floor, some mylar blankets over it to keep warm which are pretty cheap and can be bought at Revain and extra floor rug which I left along with warm blankets and a warm blanket. cat blanket over it. I also bought stone pavers, or you can use bricks available at Home Depot or Lowes for 37 cents each

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR FERALS - READ MY SOLUTION for No Back Exit

PERFECT 2 WAY SOLUTION: My little barn house came in just in time as a cold weather shelter for the feral cat I feed. I was concerned about the lack of a back exit and wanted to edit it out. THEN I REALIZED THAT THE PERFECT SOLUTION IS TO TURN THE TOP AND ATTACH IT THAT WAY! CLAMPS STILL FIT! NOW YOU HAVE 2 HALF SIZE HOLES - still the perfect cat size! Each hole measures approximately 6" x 6". The rear one doesn't have a tab, but I solved that by partially wrapping bubble wrap over the exit and

Outdoor wild cats love it!

Saw a YouTube video of this medium sized kennel that can be used for housing wild cats. The size is surprisingly large. Comfortably accommodates 2 cats. To have a front and rear emergency door, simply tilt the roof back. Voila, it's now a two-door cat house. I insulated the interior with Reflectix bubble wrap. This helps them keep warm by reflecting their own body heat. I also filled them with straw for bedding. Please do not use blankets, towels or other bedding fabrics outdoors as they retain
