Not as described - dogs

I ordered two of these 500ft trophies, the first was perfect and exactly as described but the second came in torn packaging with no markings with a green wire saw looks as if it had been unwound and re-wrapped with tape.

Good Wire, Terrible Spool

The wire itself is fine. The spool kept falling apart, causing the wire to become hopelessly tangled. I wish I had waited too long to use it because now I can't return it. If your coil is loose, I advise you to glue it immediately before using.

I wish I knew in the learning and behavior manuals

We are currently running our fence a second time around 4 acres because we made a mistake using this wire the first time. It is too thin and has broken several times. We're replacing it with 16 gauge wire, which should hold up much better. If you read reviews about stronger wires, you'll find that people are doing the same thing for the same reason. But no mention of these issues in the list of objectionable products. Too bad we knew it right the first time and got it right, what a nightmare!

Terrible spool best for dogs

I have used 3 of these spools in 2 homes and each spool fell apart causing tangles due to the sheer cheap construction. It's one of those things that will probably save a company pennies but drive customers crazy. If you enjoy untangling hundreds of yards of wire, this is the reel for you. If you are healthy and want to stay the same I would suggest looking at other brands even if it means paying a little more. This is one of those moments when it's really worth it. However, the wire is fine…

Recommend an upgraded wire with a larger gauge instead.

Can't complain as I knew what it was when I bought it. It is what it is and I believe it will get the job done if you are on a tight budget. Otherwise, I would recommend switching to a larger wire. When I first installed my invisible fence I decided to upgrade to heavier gauge wire. Recently I decided to change the shape of the perimeter and for this I bought this wire. Compared to my original, I would like to spend a little more than originally. Neither the wire itself nor its insulation is as

Description Accurate, no insulation class, solid soft copper conductors

Wire size AWG20, copper, no aluminum or steel core. The resulting wire will look like the photo (yellow). Weight corresponds to the specified 500 feet (length not measured). The insulation is unrated and melts at a lower temperature than most solder joints. IMO, this wire is suitable for wire antennas (probably not for the intended purpose). I don't know yet if the insulation is UV resistant. 1.5 months later: This wire stretched on one of my antennas and broke on the other. Copper is too soft…

sucks when your dog's life is in danger.

Dogs wear collars all the time and can sometimes walk right along the wire without getting a shock. I don't trust the system as much as I should and it's frustrating when we make sure the loop is up and they can still get through. but on the other side the wire runs near our garage and house and that's where the collar receiver will pick up the signal from the wiring in the house or something and bang them for no reason just sitting in the house. So I don't know what to think of this, but will…
