You get what you pay for

They're shorter than more expensive ones, depth guarantees protection. Also, the wire doesn't hold up at all when you close the lid, when you grab the wires the grease comes out. I'll buy better next time.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Negligible repairability

Great way to splice or repair invisible fence cables

Filled with flexible silicone, these splice kits are great for splicing or repairing invisible fence cables. Basically you twist the wires together, use the standard wire cap (included) and then plug them into these silicone caps. Close the caps and bury the wire and you're done.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Pretty cool little things

Pretty cool little things. Seems to be working very well. Just a little advice. The wire you use for these fences is not as heavy as electric wire. So do not overtighten the wire nuts. Just walk carefully. I pulled one of mine and broke the connection. This product is a must for underground fence installation.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Disappear

LOWER QUALITY CONNECTORS

Bought these 2 times and found them easy to use, not as big as others, rarely leak, don't tear and provide adequate strain relief. I recommend that when using these types of connectors that you install them in a cap or cap that is PVC or some other type so they can drain rather than stay in a pool of water for a long time. The extra silicon dielectric helps too.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Blank

Didn't work: learning and behavior guides

After we ran 2 acres of wire but the fence still didn't work we called an expert who said the wire connections were leaking power/radio to the ground , so there wasn't enough power to make the fence work unless we try to keep catapillaries in the yard. I ended up paying $1 a foot to have an expert install an underground fence. Very disappointed. (We've already made the fence ourselves, so we know how to do it right.)

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Minor issues

I don't recommend this if you're using them to patch a .

I do not recommend this if you are using them to attach an invisible dog fence that has a wire above ground. The mice seem to love it. A month ago I patched a hole in the fence and everything worked. The fence collapsed again this week. I return to the same spot and the joint from the hinge has been gnawed off, stretched 5 feet and mutilated. The impregnation mass seems to be very tasty.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Easy enough to use, though.

Very glad I found these specifically for underground housing and not some of the more expensive high voltage equipment. That being said, the type of glitch you're fixing can make installation quite difficult. This is because there needs to be some slack in the pipe, 3 inches at each end of the gap, to allow the wire nut to be attached and inserted into the pipe. Because the fence is buried, getting that slack can be difficult. Luckily my rig was about to tack so I was able to dig a line and…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

Piece of the cake!

I am a gardener. I also have a mischievous golden retriever. I have an invisible fence not only to protect my bad boy but also for my gardens. But... no matter how careful I am, I'll dig through the !@#$ wire. The only suggestion I can make to the seller is to include a 2 or 3 foot piece of wire. I have an extra cable, but can you imagine fixing the cable and realizing you need an extra leg? arrrgh! This drives me crazy! So I'm deducting a star from the price. Seller: Just take another $1.50…

Pros
  • Radio and wireless fences
Cons
  • No productivity

Poor quality

This was a timely project for the installation on our 1.5 acre yard, but a requirement for our 6 month lab. Worked fine for 90 days and then the collar stopped working (did not vibrate/shake even when using the remote manually to check). Called customer service, ran the requested tests and they were sympathetic and sent a new collar free of charge to replace the one that just stopped working. Upon receipt we tested the collar with the remote control and it worked so we thought everything was…
