I use a 250w HQI + 24w T5 fixture. And I've found that with this 14K lamp color spectrum I don't need to run my actinic T5s. Great color!

Looks wonderfully fresh blue with lots of shimmer without being TOO blue. There are great reviews of these lamps online and I can't help but agree.

Combined with a good ballast and good reflectors, these lamps really put out a lot of light. It's very clear. Not as blue as I expected. although I think I may have gotten used to it because it seemed super blue at first :)

I have had this lamp for 24 hours now and I absolutely love it. I couldn't afford Starfire glass for my tank, which is why my glass has such a pale green tint when you look at the edges of the glass. With the 15k bulb that came with the light, I always had an off-white color in my light with the actinic on. When I turned off the actinics, the light looked very pale yellow.
