I bought this gauge to use in my lab, I work as a dental technician in a busy office. It works great and the price was low enough that I can have one in every room!

I wasn't expecting an accurate weapon, but I was expecting something better. It was advertised as a "diamond jewelry measuring tool". The scale was far off and the error wasn't even linear. It increased by about 60% at 1 mm, by 50% at 2 mm and by up to 10% at 9 mm. Although the scale increased to 10mm, the jaws only opened to 9mm. Paid a little more for this version among several almost identical items hoping for more money for better quality. There is no such happiness. Before use, I checked the accuracy using objects of known size. Unfortunately, the measurements were very inaccurate, probably due to the distance between measurements not matching the pivot point, but that's just a guess on my part.
