PHYTO Volumizing Botanical Spray - Phytovolume Actif, 4.22 Fl. Oz. Review

Ok so I am not completely sold on this! I have purchased this product at Ulta and had wonderful results. This time I received an Revain gift card as a gift and decided to order the product here as sometimes it is difficult to find it in stock. My first issue was how much "lighter” the bottle felt, almost like some of it had been used. Second was the smell. not bad but not the same. Maybe this will help someone: At first I was spraying it directly onto my hair, but that resulted in an uneven, kind of gummy mess with too much of the product in some places. This works for me: Dry hair with hair dryer up to the point where you're ready to start styling it with a round brush. (Dry it with your head upside-down if you really need volume.) THEN spray some onto your hands and work through your hair. It doesn't take much! Try to get it near the scalp as you work it in, but an…

I love this product and have been using it for years. It adds volume without being heavy. I like the light scent as well. That's my feedback.

I like the product, I have fine hair that is 2 inches below my shoulder. I use it more as a spray that help keep my hair curled with some volume. I think my hair curl stays in longer and the product does not have a heavy residue nor does it make you hair look and move like a helmet. I mostly air dry my hair and then curl it and I still have volume.

I have baby-fine hair. Used this product and suddenly it felt like i had gone to Dolly Parsons hairdresser! Strong alcohol smell. Seems to do nothing at all.!

Although this product is primarily for volume, it works great if you have hair that is slightly wavy. As I've gotten older my hair now has a wave in it, especially in the back. If I want my hair to dry naturally, I spray this product in and as my hair dries I scrunch it and the volume and wave turns out beautifully. This produce works better than other products I've purchased for curly hair. The volume in itself works great for a blow out as well.

I have been using this product for > 15 years, and have tried out many different products over the years to replace it (due to it being pricey and not being available in higher volume), but none has ever compared to this. I have fine yet thick, wavy hair, and this adds great volume every time. Will never be without it.

Hard to use until you get used to it. First time it made my hair so soft, it was flat and had very little body. Then I read some of the guidelines and realized I used too much. I found 2 sprays per section of damp hair worked much better. Also putting the around the brush after spraying worked better than trying to pick up hair with the brush.

I know this product for more than 20 years and I used it every week for my hair. It is a good product, it is not only this product I know in Phytosolba but all of the types of this line.

Learned about this product on a cruise ship. It's a tad expensive.but, I LOVE IT! It really works; adds volume and helps with styling.

I really really wanted to like this, hoped my flat hair would finally get some bounce and volume even paying the steep price. Alas, it just wasn't meant to be. I tried small amounts, very light spray, heavier sprays, medium spray. All came to a screeching halt when I stared getting scalp pimples.

This volumizing spray works very well however, it smells very bad. It is also very expensive. A little goes a long way. i would purchase it again.

If you have fine hair this is the wrong product to use. Plus it's extremely expensive.I love the Phyto line. This was advertised INCORRECTLY.

Phytovolume Actif does help add oomph to my fine hair, it lifts without stickiness and washes out easily. I like the fresh smell, it's not too strong. I've tried nearly every rooth-lifter and volumizer available, and this is my product of choice. The $30 price may put some off, but it lasts and is well worth every penny.

I honestly don't see the "hype" about this. I've used products that cost a third of the price that are much better. I have fine, fairly thick hair & I this actually made my hair somewhat greasy. I wouldn't recommend it.

This will work well for volumizing medium length hair. If you're hair is too short, it can get a strange, almost waxy build-up texture. When used sparingly, this is a solid product that does wonders for volumizing. What I really like is that I can use just the spray and blow dry instead of having to round brush style every morning, which saves a lot of time. This stuff is great. I was first introduced to this when it was used by the hairdresser at a high class salon I went to long ago and began using it when I wanted my hair to look extra special. It gives my baby fine hair volume and strength. I was happy to find this on Revain. It is so worth the price. Just a few sprays where you want volume and strength - only spray an area once (a little goes a long way because you then rub your whole head and comb it through).

I have always loved this product ever since a hairdresser recommended it to me. I was so happy to be able to obtain it again. I have very fine hair and it makes it more manageable and shiny.

This product did not work for me. I have fine, thick hair and was working for a product to give a little height on top. This did not work for me.
