But you look great.

The magnets on it are beyond useless. By that I mean two things: the magnets don't hold well so they don't work as they should and worse than useless. I mean it would be better if they didn't have magnets at all because the magnets don't hold, but dismissed. So my daughter has to try to arrange and rearrange the things she builds from them and then one wrong move and one of those magnet blocks will push the others away and destroy the whole creation. Save your money and get basic wooden blocks…

Stick to small baby sets

These are good magnetic blocks; I originally bought the holdall for Christmas and my 1 year old loves it. So I bought this 42 piece set but didn't realize that the magnets only work in certain places (long square blocks only have magnets on the ends). They are still fun to play with but my 1.5 year old has a lot harder to figure out than just small parts in a holdall. I saw her get frustrated when some of them didn't connect. If you can find a good deal it's worth buying, but I think anyone…

Expensive crap in stackable blocks

Glad the kids got this. That sounded like a very creative concept. It has been less than two weeks and the color has already started to peel off. Except for seemingly poor quality, the blocks don't always connect. We also bought accessories for wheels so that children can shape cars or vehicles. Wheels don't stick to blocks in a way that creates a vehicle. I was so sure I would like them that I bought two sets of 42 each. $200 for something that didn't even last two weeks!? Unbelievable. I…

Tegu blocks are great albeit very expensive

I love these blocks and was a little over-zealous buying sets when they finally went on sale. They have been very well reviewed in this store and I love them for my daughters. They even shipped them better than Target who just put the box in a bag which was subsequently smashed when it got to my door. This shipper came in a box with a seal so the box was still gift worthy when I received it. The only thing I don't like about Tegu blocks is that it's difficult to find magnetic dots on longer…

Know your audience Good for building toys

Great if you know what you are buying. We just bought this as our second set and we have another set in the Sunset colourway. These are building blocks for bigger kids or design-conscious parents, and not necessarily the best everyday building blocks for toddlers. I have an 18 month old and he loves to tape them to the fridge. They also look better scattered around my house than many other toys and take good photos. However, since it's just blocks, he's currently frustrated because he obviously

Good, but it could be better

It looks like a very durable toy that will last for generations. I bought it with high hopes that my kids will fall in love with it (because it's an investment of sorts). My kids are 1 and 3 years old and I think it's better for older kids as little ones get discouraged by the lack of manipulability. There are no magnets where you'd hope, so assembling the things pictured on the box requires some critical thinking and layering of blocks. Tall rectangular blocks only have magnets at the top and…

Almost surprisingly, the large pieces are useless to assemble

When I gave my nephew one of the little kits for his third birthday, he loved the way these crazy blocks stick or repel each other if by magic. Because the smaller set was such a hit, I figured I'd order a big one this Christmas (especially when Revain was having a gold box sale, offering a 42-block set for around $60). When I opened the kit to repackage the blocks for the trip around Christmas, I was disappointed to find that Tegu had indeed sabotaged the potential of his own product as a…
