The magnets on it are beyond useless. By that I mean two things: the magnets don't hold well so they don't work as they should and worse than useless. I mean it would be better if they didn't have magnets at all because the magnets don't hold, but dismissed. These are good magnetic blocks; I originally bought the holdall for Christmas and my 1 year old loves it. So I bought this 42 piece set but didn't realize that the magnets only work in certain places (long square blocks only have magnets on the ends). I love these blocks and was a little over-zealous buying sets when they finally went on sale. They have been very well reviewed in this store and I love them for my daughters. These are building blocks for bigger kids or design-conscious parents, and not necessarily the best everyday building blocks for toddlers.
