    Easy to use!: Air Conditioner

I was able to upgrade my fridge for a much lower price than I expected. Before doing a little research on YouTube, I didn't even know these DIY kits were available. Good product!

    Won't screw onto Freon can

The thread has already been torn off/cut across. Couldn't mount freon tank. Went to an auto parts store and the one I found worked. Ball valves were fine.

Nice kit but here's the bad news

You can't get R12 or R22 and all the older AC units like in your RV so if that's your plan you can just find another unit to go around Installing your RV if it is an older unit.

YOU CANNOT USE THIS WITH A STANDARD R134A CAN!

Hose WILL NOT FIT standard R134A canister as described. DO NOT BUY THIS! You must return it! It's REALLY bad that they sell it like this and get families in trouble just to scrape together fraudulent sales!

    Pros
    • Great for me
    Cons
    • Not all will fit

Not what I expected from the description

Does not fit standard 134a cans! DO NOT promote it to 134a unless you include an adapter that fits the cans it was designed for! I would have bought a valve much cheaper, no pressure gauge! Don't buy if you will be using a pressure gauge and standard 134a cans!

    Cons
    • Very expensive

Pierced end will not pierce some cans, Too short

Can piercing probe is too short for most 134a cans. This made the hole barely big enough for the freon to escape. I had to keep it open all the time while filling the fridge. The return line clamp gasket is a small round gasket, not the full face flat gasket shown in all the photos. CHEAP. I was disappointed.MEL

Worked great reviving an old fridge

I have had a fridge for several years. When I pulled it out it didn't cool down. I had no idea what the problem was as the compressor cycled on and off normally. After a few YouTube videos I decided to refill the coolant. This kit worked perfectly. I could see my system was empty and with a few salvos of R134A I brought it back to life. Very satisfied!

Has nothing to do with R134 or 134a units

Copper tube ball mount may work fine but the connector that attaches to the freon tank doesn't fit anything I can find. Internal thread 7/16x24. I've gone to 5 different companies to find a 7/16"x24 male adapter for a 134 or 134a socket, let alone an R12 socket. I'm at a complete loss as to what the socket connects to .

    Pros
    • Hands free operation
    Cons
    • Obsolete model

How to use the air conditioning kit

A very easy way to charge your fridge. Clean the suction line with a Brillo gasket, attach the fitting to the line with the needle valve turned counterclockwise, connect the hose, the pressure gauge, the R134 bottle, deflate the hose, close the needle valve to puncture the line, fully open the needle valve, the pressure gauge shows the suction pressure. / Vacuum, slowly add a small amount of Freon, then check the pressure. My GE requires 2 1/2 pounds of pressure on the gauge. Don't overload…
