Description of Pirelli Scorpion Winter 315/35 R21 111V

The directional V-shaped tread pattern is designed to increase traction under braking and acceleration; and the tread itself is divided into two zones - a central one with separate blocks that improve traction on snow, and an external (shoulder) one that increases grip on a dry surface.

Not at all what I expected.Terrible!

In my opinion, these are tires for the European winter, somewhere in Hong Kong and Hong Kong it is ideal, in Hong Kong in the yards where ice has grown into the asphalt, it shamelessly slips and it becomes scary for parked cars This was the first time I changed winter for winter at a tire shop.

Pros
  • Big name brand, managed to buy ro shares
Cons
  • Very bad on snow and ice Almost always slipping prr start, ABS when braking

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Some minuses and no pluses, do not buy.

On the BMW X7, the car on them is like a cow on ice. It does not turn at all in the snow, it continues to go straight. Efficiency compared to spikes -60%. I was driving from Minsk and the tires went to zero in the center of the tread. At the court they said that they were pumped over, although the pressure was 2, as prescribed. Terrible tires, if you have a choice, take another, Michelin is better.

Pros
  • There are no analogues
Cons
  • Handling on snow, handling on ice, increased wear in the center of the tread during fast driving. Over 700 km erased to zero.

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

So far, just started to ride, the tires are doing well. Dry or wet asphalt makes no difference, you go like summer on summer. Quieter than in summer. Confident in slush and snow. On the ice, I don’t know, until I hit it. But for 10 years I have been driving without nails in the winter and I can cope calmly.

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Scorpio would probably be called "snow" rubber. At least with snow it copes with anything from fresh soil to mixed wet porridge. This is by far the biggest problem for us. If the ice is processed even more or less quickly, then the snow after a snowfall may not be cleaned normally for a couple of days. It is even worse in parking lots and in yards, even if they have cleaned it, there are still dumps after the tractor. With all these problems, the tires cope perfectly. They are also very quiet…

Pros
  • Soft, quiet, does not tan in the cold, smartly copes with snow in any form.
Cons
  • You need to be careful on ice, the rubber is stable, but without spikes after all.

I am satisfied with the rubber, for driving in the city and small runs on the highway within the region - excellent! Differs in confident and adequate behavior, including at speed. It tolerates slush, wet road, snow. Soft, quiet, comfortable ride. It's a bit difficult on the ice, but in such a way that there is a concrete ice rink under the wheels - this rarely happens. Small areas of ice on the track overcomes calmly.

Pros
  • Price, quiet, soft, adequate behavior
Cons
  • On ice without spikes, of course, it’s difficult, fortunately not so often

The purchase did not justify itself at all.

This tire is intended only for the city without snow (Hong Kong, maybe Peter). On snow-covered and how many tracks it behaves unstable, it seems to drive well over a small porridge, it doesn’t scour and keeps the track well, but if it drives on ice, it starts to drift, especially in long and gentle turns it takes it to the outer radius, the car has to be caught. Passability in fresh snow is completely absent due to the small tread depth. It behaves strangely when skidding in the snow, the snow…

Pros
  • Quiet, no noise at all, you can travel to Europe, because. no spikes
Cons
  • This tire is only for city driving without snow. Looks like summer, well, maybe all-weather, but not winter tires

Average quality, not an outstanding product.

I put it on a Mercedes crossover. I do not understand who writes about her that she is quiet. It is loud, buzzing noticeably, despite the noise isolation. Poorly predictable behavior on the road. A couple of times suffered, after that I went very carefully. And the biggest surprise was at the end of the first winter. Rear tires wear - 40%, front tires wear - 30%, although I drive carefully. It turns out, they won't be enough for the second season. In short, Pirelli does not know how to make…

Pros
  • Figure, a little price
Cons
  • Noise, predictability, wear

Nothing special, there are positives and negatives.

If you don’t leave Hong Kong and beyond the Hong Kong Ring Road, I recommend it, but if you go somewhere to the north or there is snow and ice on the highway, it’s already dangerous. I skated two seasons of R20 on x5 f15 - I will never bet again /

Satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

I use it on a BMW X5 E53 (various wide R19) for the 4th year, mileage ~ 30,000 km. This season I already managed to get stuck twice in loose snow in the yard, which was unexpected for a full (albeit electronic) drive, so the overall score is 4 (X4 easily jumped into the same snowdrift on a brand new Hakka). Driving along a track between cars in a narrow yard is scary, the wheels slip off (side drift, which has already been written about). Previously (the first 3 seasons), both in frost and on…

Pros
  • Quiet, soft, directional nice protector :)
Cons
  • On the 4th season on full drive, I started to get stuck in small snowdrifts :( Low tread height. Jump onto the curb - only with a good acceleration, otherwise you slide along.

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

In principle, I chose tires last year quite consciously and the decision to abandon the spikes was made after weighing all the pros and cons. I ride mostly in the city and only a little on the highway, there is no off-road in the winter version at all. In winter, in the city and suburbs, the main problem is not with ice, but with the unpredictability of snow removal. Therefore, freshly fallen snow that has not been removed, a rolled layer of snow, or wet porridge mixed with snow and sand with…

Pros
  • Pleasant V-shaped tread gives good flotation in loose snow and rolling. Stable on asphalt. Quiet! Quite wear-resistant - last season I drove 12-13 thousand and the wear of the tread by eye was somewhere around a quarter. Good handling in turns and maneuvers. Just a great grip and behavior at relatively high speeds. Adequate braking distance - with a tape measure, of course, I didn’t run and didn’t measure it, but the braking is clear and the braking distance is quite small.
Cons
  • I think that there are no shortcomings as such.

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Universal tires for urban winter, not afraid of difficult conditions, last winter raked out of the uncleaned yard under the envious glances of neighbors. Taking into account the fact that you have to drive through puddles or slush in winter, it is important that water is drained. Here the protector with water does an excellent job. When it freezes, this rubber also clings quite adequately to snow or ice, the main thing is to steer carefully. In general, I really liked the winter scorpion…

Pros
  • Good grip on dry and wet pavement, loose and wet snow
Cons
  • There are no shortcomings for this class of tires

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

they have 51,000 miles on them, it will be season 4. The tread is still deep, I don’t even know when they will wear out. I liked the rubber because it slows down well on any slippery, winter road, you press on the brake and you get a good deceleration. When accelerating, it even allows you to drive uphill in the snow, we have a “humpbacked bridge”, on which not every driver, in winter but with snow rolling, dares to drive in, I did it without any problems, largely thanks to rubber.

Pros
  • acceleration and deceleration are excellent.
Cons
  • did not notice much.

I reach the third winter on these tires. For me, three seasons is a record. Previously, it was necessary to change after a couple of seasons, because. either the sidewalls suffered, or there were already problems with tread wear. I liked the Scorpion for its strength (all sidewalls are intact without hernias and other damage) and durability (the tread is just excellent, winter runs for three seasons are already 30 thousand). According to the behavior on the winter road, I can say in general…

Pros
  • Durable. Reliable. Predictable behavior
Cons
  • No

The perfect product for any user!

No tire is perfect for all conditions. But to find your optimum in terms of properties - yes, you can. Actually, this skrpion winter is such an optimum for me. I drive mostly in the city in the winter, so I refused spikes. I consider the advantage in comparison with the spikes to be greater comfort on asphalt (the spikes still give a slight effect of indifference on such a surface), as well as silence. It is ice in the city that is scarce and rare. On small ground areas (crossroads, hill…

Pros
  • Withstand high loads - suitable for heavy cars and for our roads. Quiet. Confident behavior in the snow
Cons
  • They have predictably lower performance on ice compared to studded tires.

It was a terrible purchase, but I wasted my money.

Everyone squeals from Velcro, but I never thought they were rubber. Got a chance to try it out. The supply manager, a radish, bought this, God forgive me, Velcro for amarok and sent me with a car on a business trip to the Urals. In a smooth left turn on dense snow (not ice) at a speed of 40, I began to take out the turn on the road, on which there was no one at night. The well-known words, the basics of counter-emergency preparation and the ESP returned the car to the road, I stopped and stood…

Pros
  • Beautiful herringbone protector. Might be important for those who checkered rather than ride.
Cons
  • Nearly killed himself out of the blue. Critical situations develop instantly and unpredictably. It rides well in the snow, but when it digs in, it refuses to go back, and you cheerfully follow the tractor to the neighboring village. Fitness is everything.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

I go for the first season and I can’t say anything bad about rubber. Honestly works out his money in any weather. Soft enough to be comfortable to ride. Tough enough not to worry about the integrity of the tires even on a bad road. They confidently walk on snow, steer clearly even on an ice crust, do not wag in slush and ruts, and are stable when braking. There is definitely nothing to complain about, everything suits me.

Pros
  • Good performance on the road in any weather
Cons
  • For myself - did not find

The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

I always drove on studded tires in winter, but this year I changed my car and at the same time decided to experiment with non-studded tires, especially since we rarely have ice and there is no big need for studded tires. So far, I consider the experiment quite successful. Riding without spikes in my opinion has both its pros and cons. I'll start with the last ones. On ice, you need to be extra careful, as the movement and braking on non-studded tires is different. However, having got used to…

Pros
  • Excellent tenacious tires, patency in the snow at a height. Good brakes. Quiet, comfortable.
Cons
  • It was unusual after the spikes, but in moderation.
