I read most of the reviews and decided to try the XL. I thought it might be a bit big for my english bulldog who weighs 48lbs. However, the life jacket is a bit tight on the stomach and, as can be seen in the photo, too long for him. I can't decide if I should send the life jacket back and try XXL but then it would take even longer for him. I think we will stick with XL in the summer and then move on. Great quality product just maybe not for my chubby bulldog.

My wife started paddling and wanted to take our dog. He is an incredible 4 1/2 pound dad. We measured and according to the size chart he needed xx small. Well, it was too little. Gave it back for x small. This fox was perfect. He's getting used to landing with my wife and we're more comfortable on the water with him. I'm not sure how strong the parrot swimmer is, but it makes us feel better on the water. Seems well done. It's easy to put on and seems to do a great job with it.
