This was the first time I've bought any kind of tire lube. Although this material has a "greasy" consistency, it does not dissolve in water, no matter how much water. We've tried lots of water, we've tried small drops, and none of them are better. I change all my motorcycle tires by hand in the hallway of my apartment and this is a must if you don't want to mess with tire fitting. At first I was annoyed because it came open on delivery, but this material is so thick that it really didn't leak or anything like that. Now I come to the ease of use. This stuff has helped me a lot. So far I've dismounted 6 tires and mounted 4 (all on the legendary HF tire rack, er, "fixing machine"). That made the work a lot easier. If you've never seen or used this product, it's the consistency of wheel bearing grease. I'm inclined to think this stuff works just as well as the more expensive No-Mar tire grease, but I haven't tried it personally to find out. Maybe someone else has an answer.
