High quality recordable discs, albeit expensive.

I recorded 5 or 6 full data (the maximum amount the discs can hold) at maximum speed, 6x, with no crashes and found no errors in the recorded data, which are raw HD camera files traded (mpg-four). These are certainly quality discs, although they are a bit pricey compared to other discs in this narrow sector of the recordable optical disc market.

  • 1 year trial period
Cons
  • High price

Good value for money!

I was looking for Blu-ray disc to record home videos and I came across this. I needed a dual layer disc because I had over three hours of footage and didn't want to use two discs. So far they have worked very well and so far there have been no failures in the recording process. They are more expensive than single ply but it was what I needed. I would also recommend some Blu-ray cases. Revain sells them too!

Will not play on older players

After some disappointment that they won't play on anything other than the disc they were recorded on I did some research. I noticed that these discs are made using what is known as the LTH process. Such discs will not play on players manufactured before 2012, and even then the drive's firmware may need to be updated. In my player LG BT135 from 2013 release and updates are not available. I bought a new Sony s1700 and they work great in it.

No stand included

I bought these after seeing someone else recommend them in the comments on Verbatim 2 layer BD-Rs. I have used Verbatim for many years because they have always been very reliable to me, starting with CD-R/W, DVD-/+R/W and BD-R. I bought 3 jewelry boxes until they stopped selling them, no problem. Then I bought 10 Verbatim discs and had 9 out of 10 spelling errors. After suspected discs and mot my drive or setup. I ordered it. You write flawlessly. Not a single bad apple. Verbatim apparently…

Pleasant Surprise: BD-R Discs

The quality of 50GB Blu-ray discs seems to have dropped a bit lately. I have used many brands over the years and the most recent result is that the entire disc (both layers) can be burned (imgburn) but cannot be played via the layer break. Using the verify feature will result in one or more read errors, which you'll write in the middle of what you're writing. Not so with these drives (yet). These drives are identified as RITEK D03-000 (Imgburn) which is not a new drive manufacturer. Other RITEK

These appear to be good blank media.

I use these blanks to save and play 1080 and 2160 videos from different sources. I've only recorded one so far, but it was successful and passed the ImgBurn (PC burning software) validation process, along with playback on my Panasonic UHD disc player. Of the previous brand discs I bought, only 1 in 10 (out of a pack of 25) went through the verification and playback process in my disc player. Only time will tell how the other 10 packages fare. I hope for success. If the rest succeeds, I may have

I've already recorded 20 discs and each one is perfect!

UPDATE: I just finished my 6th pack of these discs and they still come out perfect. for fear that the fact that they were cheaper than the competition meant they were less reliable. But I decided to try them based on some other reviews and I'm glad I did. I went through 2 spindles and burned 20 discs without a single error or cradle. I burn it at the slowest speed my drive will allow (2.0x) and it takes about 2.5 hours to burn the disc between burning and verifying, but I prefer to take the…

The perfect printable surface and no coasters!

Look, I've been burning DVDs for a long time. If I remember correctly, it's about 12 years. I just bought my first Blu Ray burner. I have a LG WH16NS40 Super Multi Blue Internal SATA 16x Blu-ray disc burning device. I paid a whopping $62 and some loose change. Came with nothing. No cables, screws, instructions, nothing. This is a brand new OEM drive. I've always bought DVD drives the same way. Most people have a hole in their system that they plug them into anyway, you don't have to pay for…
