Great 7 port USB hub once you upgrade it.

As mentioned by other reviewers, this is a great hub with one unfortunate design flaw (hence the 4/5 star rating). I don't know what genius decided adding an instant power button was a good idea. It's USB, why complicate things. The best way to "fix" is to plug in the connector just below the button (see image). It always stays on after you turn it on. If I want to turn it off, I just unplug or turn off the device. I hope they start using drinking glasses in the future.

  • A Dream Come True

Great hub except it has a push button power switch

I like the design of the hub, all ports are on the front for easy access. There's plenty of room between them to accommodate some odd-shaped gadgets. The only downside is the use of a momentary power button that doesn't remember the working state after it's turned off. This is very annoying for people who don't have a UPS or people who turn off their computers at night with a regular power strip. Having to remember to turn on the hub is a pain. So I opened it up and shorted out the power…

Charges and syncs iPad and iPhone

Hooray! Finally found a USB hub that works to sync and charge my iPad Air and our iPhone 5s. It also goes with my three USB 2.0 backup drives, a USB flash drive I keep for documents, a label printer, and a few other small things I've tested it with. Essentially a great all-in-one USB hub that finally eliminates the need for separate charging and syncing sessions for my Apple hardware. I had a previous 10 port pluggable hub that was powered but it kept saying "not charging" when in fact it was…

Great connectivity, great charging

I already have a USB 3.0 7-port pluggable charging hub. I went with a 7-port USB 2.0 pluggable hub for no reason. The only issue I've had with each hub is rebooting. If I don't remove the USB plug from the computer to the hub when I restart, the computer has no video output. This is a new issue for me and it seems to be related to my Dell computer that I'm using and has nothing to do with detachable USB hubs. When I connected the 3.0 or 2.0 hub to my Samsung laptop, there was no problem after…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Pros: Plugged in and works as expected. Free returns with Revain. Cons: After about 3 days of use, my video adapters connected to a USB hub stopped working properly. didn't have enough strength. I connected directly to the laptop and the video adapters worked fine. The USB hub is no longer supplying enough power. Does not work with 3 USB-DVI video adapters. Poor quality/design. I'll try a second hub and see how it works. I'll update the review after I get a replacement and try for a week. ****…

  • small things

I bought this because of an ad that said it would power a Pi2 with a higher current draw (2A). I tried it and got a low voltage warning. Pi2 still worked. Tried a very short cable and still got a low voltage notification. (This is a colored square blinking in the top right corner of the screen). Finally tried a longer cable between the other two and, SUCCESS! Then I ordered what looked like a good use but was short and it worked. So I have everything. One connector powers the hub, Pi2, and…
