Gideeyup Lil PoNY for Internal SSDs

I would like to complain that I can't read loading screens in my games. I want to complain that when I turn on my computer I don't have time to make coffee anymore. But. I can't because that's exactly what I asked for. The switch from 7200 rpm to SATA SSD took me about an hour. Switching from SSD to NVMe only took 40 minutes to clone. I love this drive.

  • Acceptable

Pretty good - 4TB version

I just got a new high spec Lenovo 7i laptop with Intel 11980HK, 32GB RAM and RTX 3080. One of the NVMe slots is Gen 4 and one of the slots - Gen 3 In the Gen 4 slot I get 4995 MB/s reading, 3929 MB/s writing. On my Gen 3 slot I get 3447 MB/s read and 3467 MB/s write. Original SSDs - Samsung 980 Pro 1TB. They came RAID 0 from the factory and gave me 6934 MB/s read and 6866 MB/s write.

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Works well in PS5 - Datastore

Bought this model to connect to PS5. Lower price per TB than most popular SSDs. It was declared premium the next day and arrived 3 days after purchase but that's no big deal. I downloaded a PS5 game to the SSD and the download times are the same as the internal storage. It would be cool if there was a model with a smaller heatsink, but the $7 model works perfectly with it. I would recommend a more economical solution.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Stock availability

Fast and reliable: computers and accessories

Great 4th Gen M.2 SSD You can easily use it as an OS disk with plenty of room for everything else. I personally only use it for storage as I already have an M.2 OS drive. If you're a video or music editor, this would be a great place to store your final products. Fast and reliable. Just make sure your motherboard is Gen 4, B550 or X570 compatible for AMD. If not then go for Gen 3 as these are cheaper and performance is identical.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Meets PS5 SSD Expansion Minimum Requirements for Beta Firmware

This drive meets the recommended minimum requirements for PS5 SSD Expansion. I installed it on my PS5 after installing the PS5 Beta 2.0 firmware. After I installed the disc, the PS5 recognized it and didn't show any compatibility issues. You need to add a thin heatsink to this device. The heat sink used comes from Micro Connectors. The link to purchase the heatsink is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNJQ37N?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1

The transfer speed dropped to a minimum when transferring a large file

I bought this to use as a replacement for another drive that was running low on capacity, so I started transferring all the data off the old drive, that was about 1 TB. Data. Sometime midway through the ride, the transfer rate dropped from around 1500MB/s (the advertised speed) to under 10MB/s. When moving such a large amount of data, a speed of 10MB/s would take a very long time. I can't determine why this happened, so I don't know if it's because the write cache is filling up or if it's…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Crumpled

From AIDA64 says PNY CS3040 1TB Controller is Phison PS5016. (Oddly, there is no physical information about the SSD on the board, so I had to check "PCI Devices" to find out which driver was installed.) This SSD was a big disappointment, although it performs better in sequential read/write. compared to my old 970 EVO 1TB (last second picture), but for general development, random read/write is not very suitable. This is sometimes even worse than the 970 EVO at 70% memory used. The other issue is

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • For old

There is (as always) a catch to advertised read/write capability. And it's not just the presence of a Hyper M.2 slot on a mobile phone. Also note that you MUST have at least an AMD Gen 3 processor + an Ultra (Hyper) M.2 slot on the mobo. I had and spent about $500 on a Gigabyte A320 with a Corsair Force running at these speeds, x570mobo, fan, RAM and SSD, and my speeds are barely over what they used to be. In any case, I still like it. I just didn't want to have so many dependencies required to

  • Pretty packaging
