Excellent mesh of modern and classic technology.

Although the movie Impossible is almost useless, their flash bar is awesome. Brilliant engineering brought modern technology to old cameras and you couldn't ask for a better fit. My only complaint is very minor; The "Low" setting is still very, very strong. It would make sense to make it medium-high and add "low" and "medium-low".

    Excellent Flash for SX70

An absolute must have for SX70 cameras if you want to shoot in no direct light conditions due to the low sensitivity of SX70 film (ISO 100). Just remember that at certain distances you will need to adjust the dodge/darkness wheel for proper exposure. You will get bad shots, just accept it. It's not the flash's fault, you just have to learn the camera. This little flash will drain your batteries faster than you think. I would recommend taking a spare set with you if you are traveling with your…

definitely worth the investment for a new sx70 owner

fair warning, to say i'm an amateur would be a compliment. I love the sx 70 for its history, its design and the sonar model can take beautiful pictures with someone as inept as me. Still, I'm fascinated by this little guy. handy that it can shoot 600 or sx70 film indoors and I've really had no problems with this unit on my sonar. I agree on a few things: Load times are indeed a bit slow. Maybe liposuction isn't a bad idea, or maybe a reshape would add an extra cell. although I'm curious if the…

Must have for SX-70. but has disadvantages

The Mint Flashbar 2 is designed for SX-70 cameras and fits into the top of the camera. Flash drives used to be used once (10 shots) and had to be thrown away. and the reusable ones were very large. Mint introduced a high power mini flash. which has its advantages and disadvantages. It has 3 modes: flash off (but PC sync output for external flashes), half power (for using 600 film with no filter) and full power (for using SX-70 film). My original use was to use the PC out sync feature (uses a…
