Reasonable price

Our old resident died, we had to pick him up pretty quickly as we use him a lot. Of all the inexpensive Revain timers, we chose this one because of the large display and red color. We were scared when we first tried it as it made no sound after the timer was up. After opening, removing and reinserting the battery everything worked fine. Maybe the battery just wasn't good, or maybe there was still a piece of plastic that you pull out of the battery compartment on arrival. The timer is a little…

Disappointed with timers

Decided to give this cute little guy a chance. I wasn't impressed and decided to return for the following reasons. 1 - The battery cover will not stay in place. It's a pivoting type and a piece of tape could have fixed it, but the design is poor and shouldn't be a problem straight out of the box. 2 - This is just a countdown. not up! I use this feature all the time to see how long it takes me to cook certain dishes, heat certain pans, etc. three buttons. I wouldn't expect it to last for years…

cute as a bug, best in kitchen and dining room

There is an issue with this timer that some might consider a deal breaker. The alarm clock is not very loud: my hearing is good, but when it was right in front of me it went off and I didn't hear it. And from many angles, depending on the lighting, the digit display is unreadable: you only see 88:88. Also, a special watch battery is required instead of the AAA battery. But on the plus side, the design is very clean and sleek - sort of like a very thick credit card. The buttons require a lot of…

Finally - good

These things are very simple, inexpensive and work as expected. Nowadays, however, it's a big win. They have some disadvantages. First about the good. Good functionality, good price, won't roll over or fall off the fridge like the ones with a clip on the back. I'll buy a few more because they're the best of their kind to me. In any case, I very rarely need more than 99 minutes. I'll look for similar devices that measure hour-minute-second and less of the bad stuff discussed below. The magnet on

Great little timer. Bought my first one over 10 years ago now own 3.

Some of the comments on this kitchen timer are ridiculous and unfair which is why I am writing this. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS! Never burn pizza again! First, it is very easy to use and reliable. The design is simple and sturdy, your old granny can easily use it like some of the other commenters who don't seem to know what they are talking about. The measurements in the description are wrong, it's 2 x 2.75 x 0.25 inches, it fits easily in a shirt pocket where I don't feel it's that…

  • Good thing

Good basic timer - low volume

This is a good basic timer and I carry it in my shirt pocket a lot for many reasons. The controls are simple and intuitive. My only problem is the very low volume of the piezo buzzer. Since this is a fairly high frequency, the volume isn't great for my old man. Battery LR1130 (small alkaline button cell). I continue to use it often, but not in noisy environments. After 18 months of use, primarily for grilling: 1 - I notice that I see all eights or "E--" when the timer is not at the ideal…

  • Great for outdoor activities
